This is a nifty little game that I learned at another forum. It's sort of a forum role play, but not quite. Each one of you posts your actions and a roll one of my trusty six siders to determine to outcome. Here is what each number means: 1 - Epic Fail. Whatever you tried to do, you end up doing nearly the opposite. 2 - Failure. You fail at doing whatever you wanted to do. 3 - Minor Success. You sort of succeed. If you want to read a book, you just flip through the pages a bit. 4 - Success! 5 - Perfect Success! You do what you wanted to do in the most perfect manner possible. 6 - Overshot. You do what you wanted to do and a lot more. Can be good or bad. I'll only roll on actions that require skill or luck. Movement doesn't count, but fighting or searching for stuff does. Here's an example:
Ta da! Lot's of fun. So here's our scenario: You are all survivors of a zombie apocalypse. You had been escaping the city in your truck when out ran out of gas in the middle of a seemingly abandoned town. Too the left of the truck you see a sign for a Cafe. To the right is a library. In front of you is a small bike store. A road leads out of town into the desert behind you. Map: ![]() (Ignore my crappy Photoshop skills) |

So what does the door in the lower left corner mean? The way to the desert? |

Sounds like fun, I'd join in if we were to start this in Elate. |

I am starting this at Elate. You can start exploring the rest of the town or scavenging for supplies. But watch out for zombies. |

So I must first try to do something like this: "Nathan goes into the cafe and looks for possible weapons." and you will roll for me and then tell me what I rolled? |

How about this: "I attempt to find a weapon in the library, preferably something not requiring amunition, like a sword." Thats what you want written, right Teal? PS: I would like to do this in the game, its not just a question of the format. PPS: it may have war memorabila, just so that makes more sense. |
