CoD2 has some great single-player missions, and some really fun online multiplayer, too. And of course, the graphics are way better than in the original CoD.

However, if you have a PC that can handle it, get CoD4. It's by far the best in the CoD series.

I agree. Cod4 is one of the best games i've played. Good and realistic story (One of the best I've seen.), sometimes feels like a movie (The epic part, not like you're trapped to the story.), great graphics, many realistic weapons, good multiplayer (Although a bit "Wannabe-Battlefield"), and the game is good in any other way aswell.

Well, I'm thinking of buying a new PC later this year, one that will be able to run Call of Duty 4 so I'll buy it when I have the gear :)

Ok, but remember that alltough COD4 has great graphics, the minimum requirements arent extremely high. I used to run it on my 3 years old pc untill i got my new one.

If you set CoD4 to run on the lowest resolution, with low quality, no effects on, and no anti-aliasing, you'll be able to run it on a computer that just misses the minimum system requirements. I know this, because I used to play it on my really old computer, before I got my sweet gaming rig. However, the game looks like crap on those settings, obviously.
