I'm almost done with camp, which is awesome, so now I have more time to hang with my friends and see movies and stuff. Recently I saw Transformers 2, that sucked. I saw Tron due to the fact that Tron: Legacy is coming out in 2010, and that was actually a pretty good movie. You know, despite the fact it was all really funny-looking 80's CGI. I plan to see Funny People next week, District 9 the week after, and whatever other movies are coming out soon that look really good. I'll have full reviews on them for sure. Otherwise, I've just been waiting out the rest of my job, and also have been playing a lot on the PS3, because I got inFamous and it's pretty fucking great.

Far Cry 2 (PC)



Magnificent. Amazing graphics, huge open world, Immersive story, the list goes on. You are a mercenary hired to eliminate the infamous arms dealer: The Jackal. Long story short, you end up with malaria and torn between two rival factions, neither of which could give a rat's ass whether you live or die. Not a very good start, in my book. As far as the gameplay itself goes, it's a fairly stardard shoot'em up, albeit with a stealth element. But the repetition is overwhelmed by the more fun elements of the game. Very few things in a video game beat the thrill of picking off every last soldier in a war camp without a single one every detecting you. And then getting to blow shit up. There's not a whole lot to say about this game without giving too much away, but damn is it good.

Breakdown

Plot: Excellent and exciting. 9.5/10

Graphics: Very nice, love it. 9/10

Controls: Pretty stardard for an FPS. 7/10

Gameplay: Good, but nothing I haven't seen before. 8/10

Final Score: 8.5/10
