Well, Mary Ellen completely screwed up. Is Susan saying her children are going to be damaged by this and she'll have to put them in to therapy because of what Mary's doing? I was lost trying to follow what she was referring to. If that's it... then, she may be exaggerating a little bit. If they WATCH the movie, then sure. But I somehow doubt they will. And just in case this comes off like I'm taking Mary's side, I'm definitely not. I'm sad and hurt by her actions. She's not only betrayed the trust of Drew, the only person who really gave her a chance and believed in her, but now she's losing the trust and respect of those who began to do so after watching those shows. She is upset because they wouldn't put her on any more shows?! I realize I may be ignorant to all that goes on in Hollywood, but I am fairly confident Drew's shows are sincerely there to help those people and she apparently only looked at it as a job instead of actual rehab. How pathetic. |

1. Drew's kids aren't going to need therapy, Susan is being melodramatic. 2. Mary admitted she just did this to get $$$. She was also appearing at strip clubs and stuff too, so it's not like this is a surprise. 3. I doubt the ideas for porn storylines come from the stars. So in that sense, this was not her idea. I'm also guessing Dr. Drew is big enough not to let this burn a bridge between them. 4. Let's focus on the most important part: the guy playing the doctor looks more like Dean Jones than Dr. Drew. I bet the dialogue goes something like, "Oh yeah, I got your tounge depressor right here!" This is why porn should not have storylines/plots. Edited by 131, May 19 2009, 01:02 PM.

I think she meant that Drew will become forever known as Dr. Screw. A punch line. The kids will be teased about it etc. This is really disgusting. She must have thought she would eat out on the Drew franchise forever. She's trying to bring him down to her level, while he was trying to bring her up to his. She had a gazillion other choices. |

He will not. This is not going to be the next Deep Throat or Debbie Does Dallas. It's just going to be another film in Mary Carey's long list of films. Ideally it would be nice for her to find a niche she's good at other than just performing in porn films, from that list she's directed a few, so maybe she could swing an internship with a non-porn studio or something, and teach ballet on the side since she seems good at that too, but for now I guess it's easier for her to just do strip club appearances and let other people pimp her out and make money off her. It's really sad, and I'm actually pissed at whoever talked her into being in this movie, she probably saw no other choice that didn't involve hard work. The thing is that if she busted her ass now and got her foot in the door of a regular movie studio or interning, she could probably be making at least some money in 6 months. She really has more potential than to just become another Marilyn Chambers. She's smart and good looking, but I think she gets taken advantage of because she is good hearted. |

Serious comments: 1. I am so sad for Mary Ellen. She's in her pattern of making crap decisions. The saddest part of this chapter, to me, is that she isn't owning her actions. 2. I don't think this movie will make a big difference in the Pinsky life, but it sucks that it's out there. I know the boundaries are kind of blurry with the therapy/salary/filming issue, but I don't think Mary Ellen's choice was fair to Dr. Drew or his family, or even his staff. Me comments: 1. To echo 131's comments, how could the "actor" playing Dr. Drew have been any more poorly cast? 2. All of those people looked like crap. I always expected porn to be sexier - shows you how little I know about all of that. 3. Dr. Drew is insanely hot. Good luck recapturing that in porn. Edited by Holly, May 19 2009, 07:37 PM.
