Steve-O: Demise & Rise

Definitely set aside some time to watch the Steve-O documentary on MTV. Steve filmed himself hitting rock bottom, and then talked about his recovery. Part of his recovery took place with Dr. Drew, who was prominently featured on the special.

This show was powerful. All of the nitrous stuff was hard to watch. I also thought that it was an interesting tie-in to the Mirror Effect, in that a big part of Steve-O's story was that he was afraid to stop filming himself before he started recovery - like he didn't know where the show stopped and he existed. Now that Steve-O is sober, he is like a different person.

This show was honest and real.

I wouldn't be me without adding that Dr. Drew looked great as usual. Dark gray shirt, lots of big words - all good!

I watched this a few days ago. It was a bit intense and I almost had to stop watching. It looked like the DrDrew segments were done from the Westwood One studio. Steve-O is a totally different person now that he's sober. I will have to admit I didn't really know who he was until he was on Loveline a few months back. I think he was on around the time Dancing With The Stars was about to air.
