Materials Needed:

* Tissue Paper
* Glue
* Paint Brush
* Construction Paper

Instructions:
Cut a variety of heart shapes out of tissue paper. In a small container, mix one part glue with one part water. Use a paint blush and spread glue on a piece of white paper. Arrange the tissue paper hearts on the glue as desired. Make the hearts overlap each other! Add the glue and hearts to a small section of the white paper at a time. Once your hearts are places on the glue, add more glue as needed so the hearts are completely covered. When done, set aside and let the glue dry.

When the glue is dry, cut the white paper around the hearts. Leave about 1/4 inch of white showing around the edges. Mount your picture on black, pink, or purple paper.

Paper Plate Heart Wreath

Grown ups know a million magical things that we don't always consider so magical once we're grown ups. One of these things is how to cut lovely little hearts out of construction paper. This is the perfect project for sharing that skill with your kids.

Materials:
construction paper (various colors)
scissors
glue
crayons
a paper plate

Instructions:
Cut the center out of the paper plate to leave a round "donut" shape. This will form the base of the wreath. (This may require adult assistance.

Fold a piece of construction paper in half or in 1/4s (for young crafters, folding in half is challenging enough -- more experienced crafters can fold 3 or 4 times to make hearts in "bulk")

Cut a half heart shape out of the construction paper along the folded edge.

Unfold your cut out shape and you'll have a perfect little heart.

Repeat this process many times -- as you get better, you can make 2 or three hearts at once simply by folding your paper more times.

Glue your construction paper hearts to completely cover your paper plate "donut"

You can tie a bow and paste it on to decorate further.

You can put a piece of yarn on the back to hang it.

Heart Bunny Paper Craft

Tip 1: Include the message "Some-bunny loves you!"
Tip 2: Glue the heart animal to the front of a folded over piece of construction paper or a doily to make a cute Valentine's Day card.
Tip 3: Purchase fancy paper from the scrapbooking store and print the B&W version onto this for an extra fancy Heart Animal.
Tip 4: Scotch tape a straw or popsicle stick to the bottom to make a puppet
Tip 5: Glue a small piece of sandpaper on the back to make a felt board character
Tip 6: Cut construction paper into 4 inch wide strips as long as you can make them. Tape two together to make even longer. Measure around child's head to make a construction paper 'crown'. Glue Heart Animal to front of the crown to make a Valentine's Day hat.

Materials:

paper
glue
scissors

Directions:
Print out the template of choice. I like printing the B&W version on colored paper.

Color (where appropriate).

Cut out the template pieces. (the pieces on the template are at about the angle they will be on the finished craft. That should help you sort out which pieces belong where)

Glue pieces together:

Glue large upside down heart so it overlaps medium upside down heart to form the body
Glue small heart onto the medium upside down heart to form the tail.
Add the second large upside down heart (the one with the eyes on it) so it overlaps the body to form the head.
Add the last large heart (the right side up one) so it overlaps the head to form the rabbit ears.
Add the small pink heart (right side up) to form the nose and add the small square piece to form the teeth.
