I made a review for it :) I really, really love that movie! 5 stars. I recommend watching it <3
I saw it on 9-9-09 with 9 people :D We were out of the movie theater BEFORE 9pm though D; but we were inside the theater when it was 9! And I sent a text to 9 people on 9-9-09 :D Yaaay~
Anyway... Here's my review.
9 Movie Review by Aru ***** Simply amazing are the words I would use to describe the movie 9. I have always been a fan of any movie produced by Tim Burton, even if he wasn't a main producer for it, but this is definitely one of my favorites out of all of them.
The animation was fantastic, intricate, and well done. You could tell they took their time carefully putting sounds to each motion, tiny details in each body part, then the world was fantastic. 9 is not one of those animation movies where either the characters have great detail or the background, both did. As a harsh critic, I desperately tried to find flaws and found none.
The storyline was simple, but wonderfully done. The humans created machines and made them far too intelligent and they took over, which is a war commonly seen in many robot-based films (such as I, Robot). The robots won and the humans were destroyed, as seen in the previews. The rag dolls, each labeled a number, are stuck in an apocalyptic world that the humans left behind for them. Each character is uniquely done; each have their own motives and reasons behind their actions. 9, the main character, wants to defeat the robots once and for all.
I highly recommend this movie since it is rare for me to cry to movies, since I know they aren't real, and I almost cried while watching 9. I jumped in my seat, covered my mouth, gasps escaped my throat, my eyes widened in anticipation, and silence entered the theater (the silence being odd since I always talk during movies). Nothing was predictable, a great quality not commonly seen in today's movies.
I expected to see a child's movie; a film where the good guys live happily ever after. I was wrong.
You guys can comment on the movie too :D
My ONLY rule is that you put ANY spoilers in SPOILERS! I don't want the movie ruined for others.
If you don't know how to make a spoiler... :\ It'd be kinda sad xD Since there's a spoiler BUTTON YOU CAN CLICK lol.
Either click on spoiler and you will get the tag or type it out. Either way the code looks like this:

I have yet to see it =/ I was going to see it at the midnight premier (9/8 going onto 9/9) as a birthday present but.... Well I'm going to leave it at "Drama ensued."
Oddly enough, everyone I've heard from said it was awful o.o"

I hope that our few remaing friends give up on trying to save us. I hope we come up with a failsafe plot to piss off the dumb few that forgave us. I hope the fences we mended fall down beneath their own weight. And I hope we hang on past the last exit, I hope it's already to late. And I hope the junkyard a few blocks form here someday burns down. And I hope that the rising black smoke carries me far away, and I never come back to this town again.

I hope I cut myself shaving tomorrow. I hope it bleeds all day long. They say it's darkest before the sun rises, we're pretty sure they're all wrong. I hope it stays dark froever, I hope the worst isn't over. And I hope you blink before I do, I hope I never get sober. And I hope when you think of me years down the line, you can't find one good thing to say. And I hope that if I found the strength to walk out YOU'D STAY THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY.

I've heard one guy at my school say it was awful...
A lot of people expected a LONGER movie with more details about where the dolls came from, etc. but I can understand why it's not explained since the dolls don't know that yet. You were supposed to see and feel what they felt and whatnot. Since the scientist is dead (which ruins nothing, it's obvious he is through previews) there is no one to tell. There are only two dolls who document ANYTHING and they don't seem to venture too far from their safety zone since they aren't much for combat. The robots would probably kill them really easily. Thus the origins of the dolls are not revealed, something I liked. Hell, you know me. Cliffhangers are my thing.
I needta motivate myself to look it up, but the movie APPEARED to be symbolic... or at least they implied things. I REALLY think the robot flag looked a lot like the Nazi flag, in all honesty.
It had action (which, again, you know me... you know I'm not too big of a fan of action films) and not much background. Right off the bat you see the dolls running around trying to survive. There isn't much TIME for explanation, nor are there too many flashbacks unless one of them is explaining it. Why would they have time? The robots are hunting their asses down like 24/7.
They tried an angle I don't tend to see in movies. Instead of explaining EVERY little detail, they leave you guessing and trying to figure things out. You don't find out entirely why specific dolls are close to other ones, if something happened, etc. You only really see why 2 and 5 are close, really. 3 and 4 are obvious since they are twins, most twins in movies are really close to each other.
Aw! I totally thought of inviting you to it too D: I wasn't sure if you wanted to go, let alone with me... and I wasn't sure if inviting you would ruin my 9 people to go to 9 on 9/9/09... though I was NOT pleased with how I got 9 people =.=; since uninvited guests appeared... *groans*
But yes. If you can tell me what people said was awful, I would like to hear it. I like hearing all side of the story and I only addressed the one I heard. I think the guy I debated with sorta gave up on debating it with me.
I find the movie worth it. I have the trailer song in my phone and on my playlist. I stressed out going to it on 9/9/09 and it made my day by going. It was the highlight of my entire week. I am willing to go again.
So, if you want, I will TOTALLY go with you.

Yes! Which this was totally different. I love it when I can't predict what's going to happen... and I really just couldn't.
OOO! I wish I could find the guitar. I have to ask my mom's boyfriend to get ringtones and he only found some of the singing. I ADORE the guitar.
