Ladies and Gents, Lets get the ball rolling on Breakout #3! With Breakout #2 currently in the printing phase in preparation for FanExpo, Lets get the ball rolling for Breakout #3 But as always, we want to keep those creative juices flowing and start/continue/finish things up for the next issue. Anyone that has pieces in mind to submit may talk to Nick Mohr (salochin@rogers.com) or, if Nick is unavailable, myself (justin.coupland@gmail.com) regarding these items. Please note: In order for your work to be considered for print, it MUST be completed prior to submission to Nick. That means: Scanned, lettered, totally ready to simply be sent to Kablam. It's very good to have ideas and work in progress, but unless it's finished, it can't very well go in right? We don't want anyone to feel let out or left behind, as has regrettably happened before, so if you want to get on board in BREAKOUT #3, don't miss the boat! Get your completed work in front of Nick, or talk to Me (Justin) about getting the help you may need to make that happen! Please be advised: TENTATIVE SUBMISSION DATE IS NOVEMBER 1st 2010. This will be updated as needed. Take care and good luck everyone! -Justin |

I'm no artist, but I'd love to work with one for this issue. I do have a question, is there an overall theme for each breakout? I think that might be a really interesting thing to do if its not done already. ps: artists looking for writer pm me lol |

Hey Stu, So far there hasn't been a theme for any of the books (although Redband seems to have a touch of WW2 horror to it.). That might very well be something to look into. I think that might not be the case for Breakout #3, as it might be disruptive to anyone currently working on things. But yes, I think we need some collaborations! If you have a story that fits the context of one of the books, or both of the books, pitch away! -Justin |

Bump! OK, I'm officially the new editor of Breakout, and I want to really get things going on this. So far we've got two stories in the works, both written by myself, one to be drawn by Mike Rosenplot and one to be drawn by Dani Crosby. I've also got a couple of short stories that were drawn by other artists outside the guild (shock!)--my pals Erik Rangel and Chuck Whelon. I'm actually holding those two in reserve, to fill space if it's needed, so they may or may not be in the next issue--but the point is we do have some material ready to go if we had to. Chris Feeney has also mentioned he's working on something. Let us know, Chris! Anyone else got something they'd like to contribute? |
