Given Name: Silvalise Aramadis Other Names: Silvy, Celia Race: Unique Half-Breed - 50% Saiyan, Approximately 49-50% Human, and approximately 1% Demon (at most) Age: 16 Hair Color: Brown Eye Color: Baby Blue (The whites turn red when Celia is in control) Skin Complexion: Light tan Alignment: Neutral Good Body Type: Silvy is 5'7" with a lean and nimble build and weighs 151 pounds. She is often seen wearing a red, floral-patterned qipao and simple leather boots, with an ancient katana sheathed at her side. History: Long, long ago, long before the discovery of the KDF, in the uncivilized far reaches of Earth, there were many villages still separate from modern society. Since the dawn of time people have been occasionally plagued by demons lurking in the wilderness, causing trouble, capturing and eating people, and killing whoever they came across. In those times, many people were cowered. Others rose up only to be killed. And a rare few, particularly daring others found an effective means to counter the creatures... By living amongst them, by learning about them more closely than they would ever expect, and by mixing human blood with demon blood. The results were strange hybrids with great strength and magical abilities, but the evil energies demons were filled with caused problems. The demon-blooded offspring had to deal with evil impulses thanks to the demonic energies building within. Not all had the force of will to retain themselves past three or four decades, and some succumbed long before that. The family eventually learned to deal with this by use of a magical sealing technique called 'Eversion' to split their personalities-- the 'primary' personality being their normal, 'human' one, and the 'eversed' one containing the vicious evil nature of their demon sides and similar impulses and instincts. Their numbers were small and they were often ostracized by society once their secrets became known, yet the few families were incredibly effective at exterminating demonic threats whenever they cropped up. Needless to say, the tactic of fighting Demons with those borne of demon blood did not proliferate very well... even with their increased lifespans. One of those few families, all of which cooperated as allies, was the Aramadis. As Ki warriors became more prevalent, demonic issues were deemed unimportant, and so they focused on protecting the people from those who abused ki. The family's history is stained in blood, violence, and adherence to tradition, and yet recorded well through the ages. In modern times, their blood-borne advantages have dwindled to nothing, leaving only basic magical talent. The family addressed this problem by introducing ki and the fighting styles and traditions of many cultures and schools into their teachings, and for a time all was well. The birth of Silvalise Aramadis was not a very complicated event. It is remarkable at all, it is because of the surprisingly simple events that lead to her parents meeting. Jaren Aramadis, the male heir of the family, ran a dojo in the outskirts of civilization. One day a Saiyan woman named Celey dropped in, seeking challenging fights and little more. Despite her incredible raw power, Jaren trounced her quite easily through superior control, strategy, and style. After many repeat battles, Celey became fascinated and obsessed with learning the secrets of such technique, and joined the dojo... only to eventually become Jaren's partner and wife. And so, Silvalise was born within a few years. Her parents worked hard to instill in her the principles of her heritage... both sides of them. Jaren spent as much time as he could when not attending to his other few students instructing Silvy in the ways of the world, in proper etiquette and manners, in the secret arts and techniques of her family, and much more, while Celey taught her Saiyan history, honor, and pride. During her childhood, one of the first things she learned was the Eversion seal that split her nature in two as a precaution-- for while the old troublesome blood was thinned by now to the point of near-nonexistence, erring on the side of caution's never a bad thing. But because of this, her life in the backwater village they lived in was both uneventful... and a little awkward. Silvy and Celia never grew too close to anyone but their parents. They always had each other, and knew each other so well that trying to forge a relationship with others felt empty in comparison. She would enjoy festivals, talk with people, and enjoy other village activities, but always felt a bit distant from all of it. Perhaps luckily, her life in the backwater village they lived in was uneventful... not much more was expected of her beyond being the family's next-in-line, her only duty being to continue their traditions, guard their secrets, and protect the region should anything happen. Not long ago, something DID happen though. The sudden Demon invasion caught everyone in Breeze Village by surprise, even the Aramadis family. It was their first true battle against the family's original enemies. They mounted a brave defense against them, slaying many and repelling several. For a while everything was calm and life returned to normal. Breeze Village recovered, mostly unaware of the goings-on in the outside world, with only one or two people in the place even having radios to listen to broadcasts and declarations from the Province of Euphor. But the demons weren't quite done yet. Oh no. A few pockets of resistance remained, and some of them got the bright idea to attack again once the village moved on. They struck swift, and they struck hard, and they lost spectacularly against Jaren and Celey... alas, this battle didn't go unnoticed by Euphor's scanner teams. Urged by her parents to suppress her power as far down as possible, she hid in the village... and cried as the only two people besides her alter-ego that really understood her, that she well and truly loved, were taken away and imprisoned by a government she hardly knew to a place she'd only seen once or twice when flying around the world. By fortune, she was hiding in one of the two houses that had a radio... and another message soon reached her ears, drying her tears, and grabbing the family sword, she set out to find this Esperanza and see if anything she could do would help them set the world right. Personalities: Silvy, the primary personality, is respectful, honest, traditional, feminine, exceptionally good-natured and optimistic. She's a friendly caregiver, with a strong sense of responsibility and duty, but constantly struggles hard with her nature to participate in anything violent. The state the world's in troubles her quite a bit, and she's always most comfortable when among friends and family. Celia, who she regards as a sibling, is the 'person' she's closest to, since they are one and the same and know each other's deepest thoughts and feelings as well as their own. Celia, the eversed personality, is independent, masculine, extremely strong-willed, confident and prone to violence, yet honorable and true to her word. While the subject can make her curious sometimes, she hardly truly CARES what others besides Silvy think, since she rarely gives a damn about anything at all. Still, she hasn't gotten out much and thus isn't very emotionally mature or experienced with the world... so her heart can be stirred by the simplest things sometimes, and she's often curious about strange things. |
