In a distant galaxy, one supposedly unknown to man was an intoxicated planet. They are many stories about the planet, and although the truth is most unclear, it’s believed to be known as ‘Aether’. Aether was used for nuclear experiments or bio-warfare. However knowing what experiments took place were an entirely different matter. Species believed this planet was home to thousands of organisms, one that wasn’t identified in the galaxy but one that carried similar traits to those living on the planet ‘Earth’ and given the name of ‘Humanity’. Many species spread rumours around popular spaceports, and soon Aether became a feared planet. One of these rumours, were that Humanoid experiments were taking place, and those that was experimented on, were convicts from a prison not too far from the planet. It was said, these convicts were forced to undergo lengthy procedures and through the process, the convicts went through torture, that many felt death was a greater option. The end result was satisfying, with many beings having normal characteristics, but with a greater ability to shift ones limb into weaponry, these was given the name ‘Xentus’. The Xentus came out to be stronger than their creators thought and with this, became fear. The experiments were deceased by a higher up being who commissioned that the experiments failed. The creators were ordered to destroy all evidence on the planet, leaving no trace of what used to be here. During the time of demolition, these engineered beings endured feelings and thought that lead them to fight their creators for freedom. Fleeing the planet, on a marked aircraft, they ended up on ‘Authoris’ having crash landed from an incoming attack.

Authoris was known to many species from the Mythrim to the Adornai. All the species had their own unique ability and characteristic, which made the Xentus, feel accepted. As the Xentus told their story to these races, the truth of Aether finally came out, and this is how it was told:

“Aether was a planet, with little resource. It’s only use was to keep the occupants, us my friend, that lived on the planet hidden. As Aether was separate from the many other planets, it wasn’t unnatural for spacecrafts to miss, and thus became a safe haven for us races. Yes, we came from Aether; it wasn’t until later doors, that these creatures rid us of our planet. Having endured all we could, the Toxication was slowly drowning us, to an early grave. We believed they scoured the planet, picking up all they could find, but a higher being, one unfamiliar to us races began to design a building, one that you may of come from Xentus, our friends. We lived on the planet for many years, and our ancestors foretold of these creatures, the ones they called humanities. We prepared, prepared for many years but we could not beat their weaponry.”

As the story began to grow in depth, it became verified, these experiments had subsided and with the badly condition of Authoris, they had little hope of surviving for longer than a few years. Authoris was home to 3 warlords and these warlords were known across the galaxy. These warlords were not all good, but neither all bad and because of this, the races were in a constant fear. The races lived within the planet, hidden from the warlords, as they corrupted the planet and lead to its destruction. Bounty hunters were a regular sight-seeing, and travelled very far from other origins. They came to get the highest bounty, and the reward that was offered. Alas all those attempted ended with someone giving a sad story to tell. With the races final meeting, they made the decision to leave the planet, midway through the night having ensured the port was empty. It was a risk to return to their home planet, but having been a small society; they were unaware of other planets they could turn too. Aether was their home and they swore to return to it, and this was their day. On their arrival, the odds of running into Humanities were slim, and the Xentus had guaranteed these Humanoid like creatures have left the planet, along with the pieces of evidence. However, taking word from a new race, one that originally was convicts is pretty untrustworthy. It seemed the Xentus spoke the truth and soon all settled back in. They walked many hours, returning to what was their city, only to see it in rubble and covered by overgrowth. Not too far from the city, laid the smoke from the once bio-warfare laboratory. The Xentus, Almost sickened from the thought, worked alongside the races to rebuild a lost community. The Xentus was forever more, a race founded upon loyalty, up until a strange event happened. Traitorous Xentus, spread word to Humanities of this civilised communion. Weeks past in taunt and many younger civilians noticed unexplained scenarios happening in the outer woods. One day, a figure stepped out towards the people, having been hidden in the forest. A twisted, unsettled man came up behind me, and a hand to the shoulder seemed to show their alliance. They turned to the races, letting their voices fill the city with news. This news wasn’t the most pleasant to hear.

“We, my civilians, are the Humanities... I obviously believe you haven’t heard of us, Apart from the Xentus that I see are accountable for. However my fellow civilians, I’m sure you’ve heard rumours, which are all true. We have lived on this planet for quite some time, watching you, and awaiting to address you all in person. My men have you surrounded, so don’t attempt to inflict me harm. You will not prevail, yet a death will come to you. You’re all not welcome here, but I thank your loyal subjects, the very few that committed treason to you all, and gathered us here. Let them thank you, the Xentus are not our enemy, but they are our weaponry...Let it be known, this is our land and you’ll obey, and abide to our way of life... And the consequences you might ask, I swear on the oath of my family name, and all those holy, those that wish to go against us, will be massacred, and their head be forever shown on the city towers. Their families stripped of their name and reputation and to live a life of servitude for the authority...Join us, for you have no choice”

It wasn’t long, before Aether had a river of blood, where humble ties of families came, to weep their sorrow. Their love ones were killed for little drawbacks, and most of which didn’t affect the way authority was running. Yet the innocence of many still lay across the earth, their bodies intact, but their heads deceased from their body and shown on the spikes. Families were forced to surrender and serve the church, for their relatives dishonour, and just after days, most races were that of a servant, whether to the guards or to the humanoids.

“Give way to your kings...”
“Citizens...It’s a great loss to see so many loved ones die before you, and again I have a new head, one that will show you my greater power. You must know I don’t take pity or sympathy from ones like you, but I’ll cause a misery in the greater good... Hang his head for all to see, I order his family to come out and show their faces, for they are dishonoured and be bound of service to the throne!”

Enough is a word that many know and neither was the many left, about to serve the throne. In their last attempt to rid themselves of this new power, they began to gather all those wishing to fight. It catered from the youngest of 13, up to the older generations. All seemed powerful, but whether it was enough was all a question they had rendered in their minds. Having been in solitude for many months, where they trained in the deepest of forestry, away from the heavily guarded city, they began to improve in their skills. Many younger children learned how to master their abilities and many displayed signs of zones. The species had hope that their frontal attack would work, with the power of their lost comrades, their love ones; they had all they needed to keep them going. Their loves one did not die in vain, for this army was there to avenge their families, and all those perished under the new government. Having devised a strategy, they planned to target the main gates in dawn, a surprise attack, to which the humanoids wouldn’t be aware, and this being their biggest weakness. It was early doors, and whilst all the humanities and their servants were in their sleeping dreams, a roar of men began to spring their trap, charging forward in their last battle...
