Have you some artwork you wish to share? Let's have a new pinned topic whereby folk can display their artwork Being a Tomb Raider fan I set up a fun competition on both Eidos and Croft Manor forums for various Tomb Raider themes using ONLY a very basic Paint programme (no tablets and no fancy facilities - just a very basic programme). Here are my three awful efforts. Pistols: Flares: ![]() Medipack:

Now I'm all nostalgic after seeing those pics.. *runs off to play TR2* Love the pose of the dual pistols! I'll just put down my dA account here since I'm sure anyone can guess what my gallery is full of http://janny-cats.deviantart.com/Speaking of TR, I made this pic last year I think.. http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e69/deetabbycat/mini.jpg Edited by Janny, 21 Dec 2008, 01:56 PM.

Janny I am liking your stuff! I like the anime stuff and Winston & Lara is fantastic! For the benefit of me and others, could you elaborate and explain a little more about Deviant Art? I have heard a lot about it on Eidos but don't quite understand if it's just a place to share stuff or whether you are given things to work with - images that you can paste and so forth to create something unique. If it's the latter I'd be quite interested in signing up! |

Thanks guys! dA is your normal place to show off your drawings, painting, vectors, sculptures, basically anything creative. It's similar to a photobucket gallery, but the difference is that people get to admire and comment on your work, favorite them etc. The only problem is that because the site is so popular many people are pretty darn unfriendly which I found out the hard way.... It's a great place to show off photographs too

Thanks, Janny. That clears it up. ![]() With regard to people being unfriendly, sadly it happens with alarming frequency online. IMDb, YouTube and other sites of such a large scale tend to attract a heady mix of imbeciles as I too have discovered. I notice that many people who post video clips on the latter site often disable the text comments for fear of negative feedback and frankly, I don't blame them. I have left one or two appreciative comments at times - sometimes to give the poor poster something nice to read amongst the myriad of hateful and frankly, abusive and profane comments left by said imbeciles. Anyway, back on topic, I'm not too brilliant with working on photos or images per se. I have an 'O' Level in Art and yet since the computer evolved into everyone's "New best friend", I long since allowed my pencils to procrastinate and get progressively blunt (It's called natural erosion)

Don't worry about that, Lo! I've been horrible at drawing since I was a little kid but decided to try and improve my "skills" just for the hell of it and it seems to be working. The point is that if you have a good camera or a sudden strike of creative energy then you can always create some awesome stuff. If you do get an account there make sure to let us know
