Well you just "post" a message to anyone in their box, Hoggy. Not everyone has theirs linked of course. It's basically just so one can waffle on incessantly about gardening or one's collection of tin hats to another enthusiast in their Mailbox without clogging up the boards

Now then, Hoggy, did I ever tell you about this fascinating tin hat I found in an old garden in London? Turnd out it was a bed pan. Shame I was walking around in it for three weeks before someone filled me in....

Oh gawd you really could have done without that, it'll run you down even more! I hope you just do it and then get to bed and don't move a muscle for as long as it takes. Your health must come first John! *Warm thoughts and big hugs*

Quite surprised, Lo, that I got through last evening quite well although we did knock off a bit earlier than normal as I was totally sung out and my voice kept cracking up. Very 'croaky' today but I am just putting my feet up and spending the day in my chair with a good book, the TV and might even force down a drop of the 'hard stuff'. Felt really rough yesterday though. Had the central heating on all day, then changed into thermal 'long johns and vest', which I always wear when singing out in the cold, dressed again then laid on the bed and had a kip - with my overcoat on! I was shivering so much although the house was like a furnace. Not so bad today though. |

That's good to know but do take it easy John because I have known what it's like to suddenly feel better thanks to a bit of warmth, rest and a hot toddy, only to throw myself into the laundry or the cleaning and almost pass out after five minutes with weakness! The body can be deceiving in that way! Try some OXO cubes too if you don't fancy a proper scoff. I always like creamy mash or soup in a cup. Or sometimes I liquidise a tin of plum tomatoes, add water and a bit of Worcester sauce for bite and that sustains me! Don't venture out, it's cold out there!! Stay wrapped up and sweat the beastie out! |

Had a horrible night last night. Thought it might have been better because I took some medicine. It's called Brand-Y - at least I think that's how it's pronounced. After four or five doses in an evening you still have the cold but really don't care! Actually, I have been out this morning. Sorry about that, Doc, but felt a bit better as a result of getting some fresh air in my lungs. I got up at about 7, showered, shaved, dressed and had a cup of coffee then went back to bed for an hour and slept like a baby. Didn't have any breakfast but I am having a curry for lunch so that will help clear the tubes out. If I can only get a decent night of sleep tonight I have a feeling things will be a lot better tomorrow. We shall see. Actually, Lo, you can come and rub my chest with Vick if you like. You know I would willingly do the same for you!
