I am shortly taking delivery of my new PC and when I do I shall be wanting to transfer all my favourite site addresses over. Does anybody know an easy way to do this or do I have to input each individually? I have loads of them but this is always the way I have done it before. |

You're using IE, right? Go to File>Import/Export and choose Export favorites. You'll be asked where you want to save them. I have the latest version of IE, so I'm not sure if these same options apply... |

Had a go at that by trying to transfer from PC to laptop. Exported OK but a load of gibberish went on the laptop. Got some favourites in there but some were repeated and there were some there which should not have been there. Will give it another try later. |

No, doesn't work properly - just transfers across a whole mess so I am doing it manually. Thanks anyway, Janny. Was worth a try. |

Sorry Hoggy, guess IE still has bugs in the system I actually save my favorites manually too, so you're not alone.

Just finished manually putting them all on my laptop - phew! New PC arrives tomorrow morning so have to go through it all again on that one. Never a dull moment. |

stick the favourites folder from ur old PC on a memory stick, when you get ur new PC goto the favourites folder stick in the memory stick and drag and drop... it will tell you it already has a folder called favourites and do you want to overwrite the original?.....click yes |
