Is there an option for "view post since your last visit" or "view new post" available for this forum? I don't have as much time as I'd like and it would make keeping up with goings on easier

Go to Board Settings in Preferences and at the bottom, make sure the Topic Viewing Preference is set to Go to first unread post in a topic. Once it's set to that, whenever you'd like to go to the last unread post in a topic just click on the topic title, but NOT from the main index, as in you'll have to go to the section it's in to get to it. |

That's something, thanks. Mine was already checked though. I would like to just get the posts that are new since my last visit though. Most forums seen to have that option. |

There is an option to track a topic at the bottom of each thread, BH. Other than that, the index shows when new topics have been added to a certain board and within that board, all new topics will show as closed blue envelopes. I don't see a facility for the function you mentioned after having a scout around. Phlip's the zetaboard expert, I'm still learning the new controls hehe! |

Blowhard, I think I know what you mean. When you view the Cafe, you are probably starting at the opening page (the cyber_cafe/index page) or the Main page (cyber_cafe/forum/274468). Each icon for the group of forums shows either a folder with an envelope indicating new posts since your last visit or an empty folder. When you view a group (General, for example), all the sub-forums show either a bright envelope indicating new posts since your last visit or a dim envelope. This works for me using Safari for Windows and Safari for Mac OS X. I don't see why it wouldn't work for any other browser. Do you have cookies enabled? |

I think all you need to do is just go to the topic, itself WITHIN the SECTION, not from the main index. |

Maybe I'm not explaining it right? Like these forums-![]() ![]() ![]() Rather than opening and scanning 19 different sub forums, the post that are new since your last visit could be neatly arrange in 1 or more windows, depending on how many, which can be scanned easily at a glance. You'll notice the topic, and the sub-forum are listed, along with who started the topic and who posted last. To see what's new here I need to go through and open each sub form to see the new posts. Or am I just being lazy? Edited by BLOWHARD, 19 Nov 2008, 02:24 AM.

I see what you mean, Blowhard. So, to answer your question, no way that I know of, and yes, you are being lazy (I kid I kid). |

Ah, I was pretty sure that was the answer (both of them ) but I felt I needed to get the idea across at least

I see what you mean. As far as I'm aware, there isn't an option for that.
