I see there are no less than 30 emoticons showing on the left. Why, in my zetaboards site, have I only got 19? Is there a way I can find more?

There should be an option somewhere in your Admin Panel that allows you to import more, Hoggy. I'll have to check my panel and get back to you :)

Board Customization then Emoticons, Hoggy.

But you may have to upload some from your computer that you can save from other sources then upload in the usual way. You may have to assign a command such as : lol : (minus the gaps), for example.

If you click on Get More in your reply window you'll see we have a few imported emotes but Phlip uploaded them, I haven't yet attempted to upload any but may do come Christmas ;)

The following smileys are custom smileys which I uploaded for this board:

You only have the default 19. You can save these smileys and add them via the Smiley/Emoticon Manager. Yes, it'll take a bit of time but it's the only way.

I remember uploading them individually for my old War and Crime forum as opposed to importing a pack. There were hundreds of them to browse one at a time so it did take a lot of time but it was worth it as the default ones on PhPBB were diabolical - very bland, not to mention miniscule and not animated like some of ours are!
