Similar to the riddles thread, work out each other's proverbs then post your own!

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

What does this mean?

When you find yourself in a situation that is stressful or overpowering, remove yourself from that situation to allow yourself breathing space.

If you can't fight, wear a big hat?

Any explanations?

Yep, that's right.

I don't know anything about the hat one though.

What your teeth don't want, give it to your relatives.

That's one my mother used to say. Always made me sick.

According to some theories it's about a regiment's use of nine yard of cloth to make a uniform...or something :?:

It was something like that...
Bella: You're kidnapping me, aren't you?
Alice: Sorry, he paid me.
Bella: How much?
Alice: The Porsche. It's exactly the one I stole in Italy.

Here a strange Japanese proverb:
Forgiving the unrepentant is like drawing pictures on water.

There's more on this website. Let's see if you can find a weird one. There's other people's proverbs.

Forgiving some one, that has no remorse is a very hard thing. Like drawing pictures on water. Forgiveness is hard to make last.
As in things that come back to haunt you. Long after they happen... *Shrugs* My best guess at it.

Note: I had to look up unrepentant. :$ ;)

That's a pretty good suggestion. I think that's a good guess.
