Hi Cimmee

Im so sorry this thread upsetting you, yes it is so sad and i have the power to get rid or change the post but i wont as i think its best i leave this one up to our manager as this topic was posted by Lo, and the story is a bad one about animals but this kind of thing goes on inlife and i believe it should be highlighted and there will always be mindless idiots like these who bully or kill animals and in aways dont you think threads like this being highlighted we are helping in bringing it into the public eye of what really goes on.

Im sorry it is upsetting to you Cimmee, im an animal lover deeply but i think it was a topic to view and highlight even though i was shocked by it.

Yea it is as I am playing pro-catstring with Monty.

I would like to see this thread flushed.

With all due respect I'm not going to delete the thread because it should wind up in a search engine and serve as some warning to those children out there who are genuinely ignorant to the dangers of microwave ovens.

I have read about children who have innocently tried to dry off their pets in such contraptions. I also read you could dry linen in there but when I tried it once I set fire to a small item of clothing :-/

The thread wasn't designed to cause a revolt, it was designed to highlight both the sheer cruelty of some people and make us all vigilant to accidents at the hands of minors. If things like this were swept under the carpet then people would not be aware of the dangers. Parents and grandparents also need to be aware that their children need to realise that microwave ovens are dangerous in many ways. Microwaves should ideally be shelved high up and out of children's reach.

Cimmee it cuts to mine and everyone else's soul too. That's why it needs airing but in a mature way.

Just avoid the thread if it displeases you. It's not the sort of subject matter that we wish to censor because we have a responsibility to highlight such dangers and atrocities without resorting to sensationalism or the inclusion/incorporation of sadistic humour.

This isn't a thread entitled "Haha, Teen Robbers Cook a Cat". It's heinous enough in it's title, I grant you but it wasn't done lightly and I warn you that others may come in future regarding other forms of animal cruelty (Dolphins, reptiles et al).

You are similar to my mother, respectfully. She can't watch any news article on animal cruelty but I do and it pains me enough to donate to the WSCC - I donate on her behalf a very affordable sum of £3 pcm and would rather sacrifice some luxury to afford that. I donate for her because it was a Christmas [extra little] gift. I got a welcome pack for her and she'll get regular news updates about the Bottle-nose dolphins in this particular group of research and aid work.

I don't fall for all the sob stories on TV ads but I usually get to hear about this stuff from the news itself. I know a lot of one's money gets swallowed up in administration but that only means that the more they get, the more can also go on the actual causes. I long for the day when the fat cat administrators are all sacked and they bring in people like you and I who frankly, would work for free on an administrative side.

I would take every kitty at the shelter home if I could.

When I had my house I had five of the buggers. Keeping them out of my supper was a chore as every one of them really liked table food...

On a lighter note, cats seem to gravitate towards folk who love 'em ;)

I recall a time a few years back when my dear father was alive when this stray turned up in the midst of a winter freeze. Cute little thing she was - all black, possibly aged 8 months and with these vibrant green eyes.

Unable to take another on board at the time, my folks did not simply dismiss her, however. Dad made her a comfortable bed in the shed. Every time I went outside of the back door at night for a cigarette, these little eyes would poke out from the shed door! She'd come out of the shed and nuzzle up to my legs and I was like putty in her hands

Dad said we couldn't realistically take her in but one day, I took her indoors when Dad was out cycling but although she was trusting of me, the other cats (we had three at the time), were naturally hissing at her but we found her a home via the relevant charity and she went to an elderly gentleman who doted on her. She was a very good catch actually, a real beauty BUT...I think she was pregnant. Mum said not to mention that and I understand why because if she was it may blight her chances. However, if she had kittens, I am sure the owner would have done the right thing as he must have been a member of the cat sanctuary programme to have adopted her in the first place :)
