I want to remove Windows Live Messenger. But I can't find it in add and remove programs. I just want to take the stupid thing off; so I can install the old one. ^o) All the makers of MSN are now on my kill list.

Can anyone help, before I go postal?

You better sit down, Tessa, because this isn't the answer you want. As far as I know, Messenger is a core component of Windows, not a separate component. That is why you don't see an entry in Add/Remove Programs, because it is part of Windows. Similarly, you won't find "Notepad" in ARP either. Windows Live Messenger is an upgrade of a core component. Theoretically, since the Windows Live Messenger upgrade is not intended to be "user-serviceable", it should do everything the previous version did plus more. Is Windows Live Messenger not working for you? Perhaps someone else knows how to downgrade Messenger.

That's interesting, Tessa, I've never heard of it. Apparently it supports voice chat and webcams, but I wonder if all versions support it (like the Mac version). I'll have to check it out.

It does, Ruum, I've been using it for months.

Thanks for the info, Max. If I can use this for a voice chat with people who use the Windows version of Messenger, I'll be a happy camper!

Bella: You're kidnapping me, aren't you?
Alice: Sorry, he paid me.
Bella: How much?
Alice: The Porsche. It's exactly the one I stole in Italy.
