A new £334millon Derby hospital has reported dozens of ghostly sightings from workers - all claiming to have seen a figure cloaked in black "Darting between rooms and through walls - especially near the morgue". An exorcism is scheduled within days. Although I personally see no significance for the sightings being near the morgue (I feel this to be coincidental), the ghost is thought to be that of a Roman soldier who was likely killed on that spot. Developers ignored protests to build the hospital on part of an ancient Roman road - where such sightings are frequent according to one Ian Wilce of the Ghostfinder Paranormal Society. I recall a reported case of hundreds of motorway workers seeing a whole army of Roman soldiers from the calf upwards as they dug into the existing ground - again, most likely on all or part of a Roman site. Ghosts don't deviate from their trodden path - hence any apparition will appear to walk through a wall that was not in fact there at the time of their deaths. I therefore conclude that the morgue just happens to be in that unfortunate spot. Staff have been understandably scared witless and Senior Manager Debbie Butler is taking the reports very seriously and the Exorcism is awaiting approval from the Bishop of Derby. I wish them luck. It's not entirely always possible to exorcise a ghost since it is not active in the sense that a spirit would be. It's merely a re-recording of an event that happened to become etched into the atmosphere, a bit like replaying a video tape over and over again. If it's a trapped soul then an exorcism is likely to be successful under the right circumstances. |

That is really interesting. Have you heard of the TV series "A Haunting"? It's really poignant and the scary thing is that all of these accounts are real. |

No, not sure I get that programme, Sing, but I do watch Ghosthunters and those types of programmes. I gave up on watching the UK's Most Haunted as it was getting beyond silly and was all hysteria and no real evidence. But the New Zealand Ghosthunters get some cracking evidence of tape and camera! |

I love the program A Haunting and watched all of them on Discovery and the stories are amazing and ts not just about Ghosts but also theres demon cases and also witch craft and my fave one was of the body they found in the basement of that house and why they left it for a while by the time they got back it was filled in by repair guys and they cemented the hole up, the body is ment to be still there till this day but i believe all the stores they say and try to show you how it was for all these people who suffered. So many of the A Haunting episodes are people being Possessed and to just get a feel of whats its like is amazing and im well interested in the whole subject of paranomal A HAUNTING 5 star program I for one cant wait for it to come back on our screens Edited by oOwayneOo, 20 Feb 2009, 01:14 AM.

Same here. I'm really excited for the new season!  I remember the one where there were many women and girls in one house who were killed by the same man. The man still held his vengeance over the house, but a medium managed to strike a deal with the man's soul and calm down the women and girls in the house. There was also one where a woman finds a picture of her ex-boyfriend's brother while he was in the army and she starts having visions about him. |
