 This sucker is huge. I am not sure how pretty it is, but it kept the communists at bay. They had nothing that could compete with SAC. The USAF museum in Dayton, Ohio has one of these on display indoors. There was a recon version known as FICON that carried a Shooting Star in the bomb bay for recon purposes over the Evil Empire. Think this should have been in the ugly plane thread, defenatly a design of function coming first. But it did it's job of providing a deterrent well but it's not something that's easy on the eye. |
