As I have said before, it's the true stories that are usually the funniest! A retired priest who works part time at our church heard me complaining about the photocopier which was playing up and delaying an important job I have to finish. He said "I thought you were going to swear then" to which I said "Would I dare? In church?". He said this conversation had triggered off a memory of when he was in the RAF and had to attend a church parade. They were marched up to the church door then proceeded to enter. One airman still had his beret on inside the church and a big Sergeant walked up to him and said "Get that hat off. You're in God's f****** house." I gather that everybody fell about laughing. (Hope that doesn't get me chucked out of the café) |
