PROUD OF OUR TROOPS DRIVE ON TOUR/SPECIAL EVENT

The WhompSwamp is pleased to join with the Proud of Our Troops Drive and the Taylor Hicks 2007 Tour to add another phase to supporting our troops.

Collection boxes will be at selected venues beginning this week in New Haven, CT, and Westbury, NY, for concert goers to give Taylor Hicks album to our brave troops serving around the world. Taylor fans who may not be active on the message boards may participate in this great program, as well as concert goers who want to show their appreciation for the important work of our soldiers.

The Swamp and the Troop Drive volunteers will be recruiting enthusiastic, responsible people to participate in the Proud of Our Troops Drive on Tour at local concerts.

Give the gift of Taylor’s music to our troops overseas! Bring the cds with you or they will be available at the merchandise tables at each venue if you want to purchase them there.

The Swamp is happy to be on board this very worthwhile effort to support our troops and to spread the joy of Taylor’s music!!

SUPPORT THE PROUD OF OUR TROOPS DRIVE ON TOUR!

SOUL PATROL MEMORIES:

1. Taylor Hicks is a force to be reckoned with, this concert is a visual and audio feast of unequaled proportions!A live performance is so unlike a studio or pre recorded one, there is no editing or covering up less than par vocals.Taylors vocals were dead on last night, the most powerful voice I think I have ever heard! The encore was Taking It To The Streets with the most amazing harp playing injected towards the end.this was a brilliant stunning concert. There really are no words to properly describe it.I would encourage everyone to run, don't walk and get a ticket for the HOTTEST show you will ever see! There is not a doubt in my mind that Taylor is on the road to becoming a legend and righfully so!! posted by Jag

2. goldbug

The curtains parted and his band was on-stage beginning the intro to Soul Thing. What electricity!!The lights were playing catch me if you can on stage and every color in the rainbow was reflected off, across and into the audience. As the band was moving and grooving one's eyes kept on darting to each musician trying to savor the wonderful melodies coming from their instruments. But Taylor still was not on stage, this was a teasing and we couldn't take much more of it. Several women could be heard crying out "Taylor, Taylor" and still the band played on without him. The lights on stage seemed to be even more brilliant with colors merging, circling and merging again to the beat of the music.
Suddenly to our left a tall figure snakes his way on stage. That beautiful hair is turned everey color of the rainbow because the lights are upon it,
Taylor has finally arrived!!
