Not sure about that OBG. This is a video of that day and the guitar player is different........ but the song "Hell of A Day" is worth watching again and again. I think he looks less well in this picture than in the one posted in the ad. Could there have been a change of "costume" at some point ( during a commerical or something) ????

" Great guess. Now to get the prize you must name the guy being hidden by Taylor's guitar.....LOL "

What's the prize?? huh huh??!!!!! :bl :bl :bl

A realy wild guess on the hidden guitar player... Jay Leech who has played steel guitar for him in CA...don't know about this time...

In the GMA video, are we sure that isn't the same shirt? The hair looks the same.

This is the same guy from the GMA show on July 21, 2006 Jay Leech is a lot older and doesn't have the hair. LOL

Taylor also appeared on 12/5/06 on GMA, indoors but with a totally different outfit on.

He could have changed shirts between sound check and the actual show cuz it was hot-

Well, like I said-I am NOT always right-and what's to say that the tone on tone stripes didn't show up on TV?

Oh well-everyone misses once in a while-

I am so curious about this picture now. The time frame was definitely 2006 ....

OBG is right in that he could have changed shirts.

The guitar player looks like John Kulinich, but Taylor wasn't using him in 2006.

I think the GMA band was one from the GMA show????

I think you are correct about the GMA band, mouser.

I guess this means we are still 'guessing' pictures? :ld

Watch the HOAD video CLOSELY-look at Taylor's right shoulder-on occasion the camera angle and his movements will "flash" the tone on tone stripes-I think-if I'm not hallucinating or doing wishful thinking-and the guitar matches-

I apologize if I am wrong--but I still think that shot's from the sound check at GMA-

I don't know anything about the soundcheck, but you would think the soundcheck would be on the same site with the same equipment as the actual performance.

How do we account for the different guitar player from the GMA performance and the one in the picture that is in question and the different background. The guitar player could be the same and he has on a hat ( the beard is shielded by Taylor ) . If that is the case than the different color on the guitar could be the result of lighting and the red appears brownish. I am still a bit confused by the different background , but maybe , if it is a soundcheck, the stage sets have not been put in place as yet.

I am giving OBG the benefit of the doubt as her Eagle Eye is better than my Hummingbird Eye. Am still a bit flummoxed, but that is nothing new.

Thanks-but I'm flummoxed as well-

Hmm-the guitar player COULD be a technician-and to be honest I didn't notice the different background-although the background was just a sound stage background and the angle of the last shot is from the side-BUT--

I am leaving the door open to stand corrected-

(At least hummingbirds aren't on the endangered species list mouser!!!)

Speaking of which, I have an Eagle's nest visible from my house and my last address was Hummingbird Ct, so I have both avian creatures covered.

The picture of Taylor playing with his "buds" was indeed in the "broke and in need of fixing" days, but not at the Open Door Cafe.
