Since this is Taylor's last week as Teen Angel I thought it might be nice to recall his stint in the role-so--

If you got to see Taylor as Teen Angel what are your top two best memories of the experience?

For me this one is SOO easy-

(2) Saturday afternoon Matinee of Grease at the BJCC-I was second row and watched a tired Taylor EXPLODE from the cone and set off an earthquake with MANY aftershocks-

But in a runaway ALWAYS my number 1 Memory is this:

Taylor and Rayvis- (photoshow recalling how it went down)

Now what about you guys??

Dog-gonnit! You brought me to tears again! I'll just have to live the total 'Grease' experience through those who were able to attend.
I, however ~ have somewhat been a part of the Grease experience while Taylor was on Broadway in NYC. A 'token of appreciation' lies on my bookcase. :ld

I was lucky enough to get to see Taylor in Grease more than once. In New York City, my very first trip to New York, Baltimore, MD, Houston, TX and in Austin, TX.

It's hard to pick a top two because every time was different and special, but if I must:

#2 was witnessing Taylor sing What's Right Is Right for the first time on stage after Grease in Baltimore, MD. The audience was captivated by
his performance and I was moved to tears, which carried over during the meet & greet that night. I finally remembered to tell Taylor my name, but only after I had to wipe away tears again just seeing him walk in the room. I had such an overpowering feeling of pride in the way Taylor presented the first single off his very first record under his Modern Whomp label. It was just a special night all around.

#1 Has to be seeing the ice cream cone for the very first time in New York City from the 2nd row and the thunderous cheers and applause that filled the theater as Taylor opened the doors and begin to sing. I remember being thrilled and a little bit shocked at how strong and wonderful Taylor's voice had become and just a tad bit in awe that the guy could also act. It was a moment I will never forget. :ld

1. Collecting information from all the fans about their various Grease experiences, chronicling them and enjoying their impressions is really more important to me than anything else.

2. Hearing the Beauty School Dropout intro for the first time and seeing the cone descend gave me a sense of pride that Taylor was doing what he so enjoys ( entertaining ).

* As an added note: I still am bummed about waiting and waiting to be called for a Meet&Greet and than being told that "Sorry, Taylor has left the building ". It's OK though.... coming from Tampa , the cigar capitol of the USA, I just smoked the cigars I had for him myself. LOL

mouser that's a great stress reliever-if those guys only knew what they caused you to miss-

I'd be trying to get some moolah back for the miscommunication-you'd think they'd tell Taylor he had a M & G-

OMG, Mouser! I laughed out loud!
I'll bet they were fine Cubans too. You would do that! (No, just kidding)

I have to think about my two....

Nice fun thread, OBG!

My Number One Grease memory has to be the first time I saw the cone descend and open on a Thursday evening on Broadway in August. It was my first time to New York and the first of several glimpses of Teen Angel. I was so impressed with Taylor's stage presence and the way he had "taylorized" the role. This was still the Taylor I had seen on the concert stage...even in rhinestones.

My Number Two Grease memory has to be when I arrived in my room in New York and opened the draperies to be staring at the two giant Grease posters in Times Square. The view took my breath away! Talk about having "arrived"...Taylor had! I started snapping pictures even with my cellphone.

I have so many wonderful memories from Grease--in Tucson, LA, and there was nothing like seeing his hometown crowd in Birmingham explode as the cone opened. They literally stopped the show!

I will miss Teen Angle and all the fun of Grease, but I am sure there is more fun and excitement ahead.
