Indeed! We want to know all about it...was there more new music? What songs did he do? What was the venue like? Questions...we have questions!

To those who go...enjoy, and please share with those of us unfortunate enough to be miles away!
Have fun!

And with a few of his usual TAGS. Gotta love it .

I understand it was about 85% full with a mixture of folks ( ages and sex ) but more mid age and more women , which is to be expected.

Nice set list. Those who were there must have had a great evening. Nice to see three of the new songs too.

Oh, my, Cincy was wonderful!

After flying in early Saturday morning, I picked up my rental car and drove to my hotel in Norwood. I wanted to stay closer to the 20th Century Club than the airport or downtown. With just a little time to spare, I headed downtown to catch the Saturday afternoon matinee of "Grease". As usual it was fun and Taylor was terrific!

After the musical performance, I grabbed an early dinner and then took a nap. The doors weren't opening until 9:00 pm and it was 21 degrees so I figured I get there maybe 15 minutes or so early. Nearly froze but it was worth it!

I spent time talking to the locals who were there for the show. When they found out I had travelled to Cincy for the show they were a cross between "Wow" and "are you nuts" but I didn't care. I knew a good Taylor perfomance would put a smile on my face and warm me up!

The opening number was a single guy with just his guitar. Keith or Kevin Fox, just can't remember the first name, was fun to listen to - his songs told stories and most guarantees a chuckle!

Taylor was scheduled for 11:00 pm and took the stage pretty much on time! Josh was wearing suit with a white shirt & skinny tie! Sharp! Taylor wore a black leather jacket, black shirt, jeans and black boots. Sharp too!

You have the set list above. You had to be there to fully enjoy it, but "Hide Nor Hair" was terrific! I think Taylor could do an album of old Ray Charles songs and break the bank - Taylor Hicks sings Ray Charles! This is a song that could easily be another single off the album!

Taylor was playful with the band and especially the keyboardist, Kenny Crouch! I loved the interaction!

Taylor was all smiles last night! His time in the bunny suit paid off - he was doing his jump/hop quite a bit - his idea of funky dancing, I'm sure!

"What's Right is Right" and "Woman's Gotta Have It" were also top notch. For a second time to perform these songs, it wasn't obvious - sounded like he'd been doing them nightly for weeks!! Such perfection! I don't know how musicians do it, except they must have phenominal memories and love of what they do!

After Chicago last week and Cincinnati this week-end, I'm looking forward to Rams Head in two weeks! Should be another great week-end!

Great detail.............

I , too, think Taylor would do justice to Ray Charles songs. Percy Mayfield wrote Hide nor Hair for Ray and Percy's sound is fabulous. Can't wait for March 10, 2009
