When WRIR was posted for streaming on Taylor's MySpace and TH.com, I sent the link to some friends who are fans and wrote it down for work associates. While the comments varied about the song from "That's pretty good" and " Who's singing that?' to "Thank you OBG-my boy rocked" and "God I used up a whole box of Kleenex after that one"-- Almost unanimously EVERYONE wanted to know WHO was doing the sax solo--and most of them phrased it "Was that Kenny G on the sax?" When I told them Brian Gallagher-and explained who he was--they all agreed that the sax solo was a real highlight of the song-and that it seemed to get Taylor really going where "he really brought it !" Of particular amusement were the comments from guys: Roy-grocery team leader--"Oh yeah-gonna download this and have the best Valentine's Day ever" (blush blush); Jimmy-Coke driver, ex Army and lover of old school soul-- "Toot that horn boy!!"--Earnest-beer account manger--"Boy Taylor brought it down after that sax solo-who was that? Sounded like Kenny G-and I LIKE Kenny G!!" And a delivery driver for the OTR truck line that delivers our stuff: "Well FINALLY-a song that we can use to tell our wives how we feel!!" But the best one is from our friend (and fellow music expert) Don the doughboy: "SMOOTH!!" Thanks for reading!! |

Those were great endorsements . Taylor should hire your entire crew as indicators of appeal for his songs. I love that you bring your passion to work with you !!!!!!! CARRY ON OBG. |

I love your work "polls" OBG! These are fascinating from soon-to-be fans! The sax solo stood out right away for me too. I am also intrigued with the keyboard which sounds like a real organ...don't know if it is. Add Taylor's voice and Doughboy is right..."smooth!" |
