^The screen caps? I just hit the PrintScreen Key on the keyboard, that copies the screen, and then pasted the picture in Photoshop (you can use any art Program-like Paint)-crop and save. :thumbsup

From the Insider:http://www.theinsider.com/news/1560468_Taylor_Hicks_Goes_THE_DISTANCE

Highly Anticipated New Studio Album to be Released March 10
Following First Single, “What’s Right Is Right,” digitally on January 27

Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Taylor Hicks will thrill longtime fans, and inspire new audiences, with the release of his anticipated new studio album, The Distance, on March 10. The album will be released on Hicks’ Modern Whomp Records label and distributed through a partnership with independent artist services company Artist To Market (A2M). Debuting January 27 digitally is the first single “What’s Right Is Right,” a mid-tempo song about love and commitment, driven by funky keyboards and sax work.

Produced by Simon Climie (Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Faith Hill), and tapping the talents of guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, bassist Nathan East and drummer Abe Laboriel Jr., The Distance includes eleven tracks, some co-written by Hicks: “Wedding Day Blues,” “Seven Mile Breakdown,” “What’s Right is Right,” “Hide Nor Hair,” “Woman Gotta Have It,” “New Found Freedom,” “The Distance,” “Nineteen,” “I Live on a Battlefield,” “Yes We Can,” “Maybe You Should,” “Once Upon a Lover of Mine,” “Keepin It Real” and “Indiscriminate Act of Kindness.”
Since becoming Season 5 winner of “American Idol,” Taylor Hicks has seen his self-titled debut album certified platinum, performed with Willie Nelson, Widespread Panic, The Allman Brothers and Jackson Browne, toured through Asia, penned the Random House memoir Heart Full of Soul, and made his Broadway debut as Teen Angel in Grease. At the beginning of 2009 Taylor has embarked on a national US tour with Grease with stops in Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle.

What interesting titles! Can't wait to hear the songs that go with them. When I see this one: Once Upon a Lover of Mine, I can't help but think of a McCartney song, "Once Upon a Long Ago". ;) Not that it means anything... :thumbsup

Woo Hoo-guys I just SOLD two copies of "The Distance" to two of my vendors-just based on WRIR and AWGHI and all the yakking I did--

I'll buy-off Amazon-they'll pay me back--

One of them-Ed the milkman=was sold when I told him about the Bobby Womack cover and the fact that Kenneth Crouch was playing keyboards-he's into old school soul--

The other was Don the bread vendor that I mentioned in my snippet recap--I wrote down the lyrics to WRIR and took them into work for just his opinion--if you recall he's the music expert I mentioned-
he took a totally different take on the words and likened them to the old protest songs-and mentioned
"Abraham Martin and John"--folks HE DIDN'T KNOW TAYLOR COVERED THAT ONE-and that the theme is universal brotherhood-helping out those less fortunate--and the bridge portion was a reference to the "Bloody Sunday" Edmund Pettus bridge in Selma, Alabama--the symbolism I mean-and really I hadn't thought about that angle--
Which makes sense because the line about the empty bed could be a reference to losing a family member or friend--but then that's just HIS take on the whole deal--

Anyway, when I found out I could pre-order-I called both of them and they said go ahead. So Taylor gets two more copies sold--YAY!!

Hope I can do more for him!!

Can you FEEL it?????

Really interesting approach to those lyrics. I admit, I don't get too wrapped up in the words of a song , I rather prefer the melody, but I am now going to look more closely at these lyrics and see if I see what Don, the bread vendor , saw.

Also ......... we don't know if Kenny Crouch is on the CD. He is just doing the shadow tour. We know the bass player, the guitarist and the drummer.
What Ed, the milkman, doesn't know , won't hurt him. LOL

Keep sellin' those CD's OBG

OBG ~ I was in stitches while reading this part of your post: he took a totally different take on the words and likened them to the old protest songs-and mentioned "Abraham Martin and John"--folks HE DIDN'T KNOW TAYLOR COVERED THAT ONE. Needless to say ~ We Did! :jy
With that said ~ I off to spend some $$$. Get Out Of The Way People! Posted Image
