Oooh, I have some, but videos for them would be a pain in the ass to do for free. |

Don't worry about how much of a pain a tutorial will be, regardless of where it is located on our bodies. Just post the idea!

Fine. I'll start with a very basic one (well basic for me): Make a video tutorial on how to use multiple frames (like movie frames, not HTML frame and iFrame) to make an animation. It's like a functional GUI system. It'll be cool to use in upcoming big projects. It'll be very web 2.0 friendly as well. ![]() Well, get started! |

Ooohhh, I really like this idea. Would this be possible? An introduction to AJAX. It seems complicated, but I'm positive that it is much easier than I'm making it out to be. Specifically, the basics of what it is used for, examples, etc. Nice idea Choco! |

Choco, for my tutorial, include the following: 1. rotate(deg); - rotates THIS element in the given number of degrees. 2. scale(scalar); - scales THIS element by the given scalar. 3. xflip(); - flips THIS element by the midpoint of the element vertically. And by midpoint, I mean the midpoint in height (since you're flipping it vertically). 4. yflip(); - same as xflip() but you're flipping it horizontally. (Note that in 3 and 4, the element you're flipping should never change it's location.) After you finish the small scripts on those few functions, think about how you're going to combine them into a moving animation. Of course the return type of all those functions is critical. Why? You'll see once you start, but here's a hint: I should be able to do this: obj.scale(3).rotate(120); So I guess the real question now is how you're going to treat an arbitrary Object as something else. Concept is easy once you know it.

There's no way to rotate/flip things without the canvas object or beta WebKit CSS properties, so I won't be able to do those
