Had a discussion at work today regarding name@live.com type accounts

If you signup to a LIVE account rather than HOTMAIL, does it give you more space?

my wife has live and I have Hotmail. honestly I dont see a difference. its just an extention difference. A different server giving the same features

i have an account with the extention @hotmail.com but then my bro has the extension @hotmail.co.uk i think there is a difference in space there

Not exactly sure what you mean by that, but basically you could have two virtually identical addresses, for instance clone@hotmail.com & clone@hotmail.co.uk and they would be two completely seperate accounts.

Yeah, you're right. Once I wanted to add my cousin on MSN, so I added him (at least I thought) with a .com address and I was talking to some spanish guy LMAO.

I think they just have the different extensions so there's a wider range of the names available.

Not really. I use gmail with MSN. I encouraged most of my mates to get gmail, but they keep forgetting their passwords LOL.

To be honest, I think most people use MSN addresses because it's the default homepage for Internet Explorer. It's like people don't like installing things, so they stick with the trashy IE, which then leads them to MSN network. -.-
