I've made a script that allows a user to pick a default post color, but I'm still making sure that it works in all situations. However, I may need some help picking out these situations. *Please note, this code is for InvisionFree ONLY. I'm sure it could be adapted to ZB, but I'm not going to bother. Current situations: - Fast Reply - Add reply - New Topic - New Poll - Using the "Quote" button - Quote tags present - Code tags present - PMs - Cookies disabled (script doesn't work then, but at least it doesn't annoy them about it with alerts) - Multiple browser support (assuming cookies are enabled) Can anyone think of anything else? If you can, then please, list away! Edited by Reid, Jul 26 2008, 05:41 PM.

Close color tags before quotes and re-open them after quotes. Hide color tags when editing / quoting. |

I've already got 1, but it doesn't hide them when editing, although it does still work if you edit a post.

its pretty simple ![]() store the data in the signature of the color the user wants. than wrap their post in a span tag with the style they choose and bam! |

Yes; you should store the data somewhere for each user, but signature storage not recommended though. |

I just used cookies. It's a simple alternative to more advanced means of storage, I know, but I'm too lazy to bother coding anything else. x] |
