Can someone please help me to find out and fix the "bugs" that appear on the Resize Images in Posts - BBCode by RedBldSandman?

Here is RedBldSandman's Code (Post #13, 2nd Code)
Posted Image http://zbcode.com/topic/2726584/2/

The Rimg Code is great and works well, but sometimes, the Rimg Code does not resize the images correctly.
I will try to describe the "bugs" more exactly.

Well I checked the Code on Firefox and IE , since these are the most used browsers, and on both there appear some "bugs"

FireFox

1. Some single images don't resize correctly. Either they are getting too big like a wallpaper (on the Rimg height option), or they are too tiny (on the Rimg width and percent option).
I am not sure, but I think it's because of the image url name?

Here is an example of an Image that doesn't work correctly with the Rimg Code:
http://singingfool.com/photos/865/babyface.jpg

Most images I used with the Rimg Code are working fine so far.

2. Each time when Firefox is restarted (close ALL Firefox Window and start FF again) there appear a strange "bug" that mess up the size of all "Rimg" images.

Images in the first topic containing Rimg BBCodes that I view after each FireFox restart are all resized wrong and get the size of a big wallpaper.
But after I refresh the page, or just view a second topic containing RIMG BBCodes, all images are resized properly then...

Example: http://s1.zetaboards.com/piano/topic/2881559/1

3.
The "bug" in point 2 above also even appears just randomly from time to time. I have no idea what exactly cause this.

Internet Explorer

1. Same as on Firefox, on IE there are also some single Images that just don't resize correctly. Images that doesn't work correctly on FireFox are suddenly working on IE, and Images on that doesnt work on IE, are working fine on Firefox :P

2. same problem as in point 2 above in Firefox. Sometimes images are suddenly resized wrong, but after a page refresh, they look fine again. But it doens't happen so often as in FireFox.

3. The simple [rimg]IMAGE URL[/rimg] doesn't work on IE and all other Rimg BBCodes under it will be disabled aswell.

So for example this Images wouldn't work on IE:

I think it's not easy to fix the bugs, but I still hope someone of you has a solution :)

Hmmm, I'll look in to these - I didn't really do a lot of testing tbh, it seemed to work whatever I did xD I don't have IE atm and it doesn't install properly so I can't really test in IE but I'll look in to these problems soon! Sorry about the problems! xD

that's great thanks RedBldSandman :)

It also seemed to work for me at the first testing, but now after using the rimg for different images I came across the small errors.

What is strange is that the Test Topic I made the first time is always working fine (I mean the one with the piano banner):
http://s1.zetaboards.com/piano/topic/2864901/1/

But on this new test topic with other images, the error after each new Firefox restart appears always:
http://s1.zetaboards.com/piano/topic/2881559/1

I think if only that "FireFox Restart Bug" would be fixed, then all other bugs on IE and FireFox will be automatically solved, because they are all similar

You should not have to use a code like that any more, anyway.
A new ZetaBoards update has allowed resizing of images via the standard image BBCode.
Code:

[img=width,height]IMG SRC[/img]

Example:
Code:

[img]http://www.w3.org/Policy/pling/wiki/images/a/a9/Example.jpg[/img]

Code:

yes Gorgor has informed me about the default IMG resize options.

But the Code from RedBldSandman is much more better and more useful, because it automatically resize the image, either by just choosing the whished height or width, or by choosing the percentage of the wanted resized image.

When I want to use the default resize code from ZB, then I always have to use a calculator for resizing to keep the original aspect ratio of the image, and that is a bit annoying when I want to resize a lot of images ^_^

I just thought of making a bump :P

RedBldSandman, you helped me already a lot with making the great resize bb code, that's why I don't want to bother you with the "bugs".

So I was wondering if some other Coders here in ZBCode could have a look at RedBldSandman's Resize Image Code, and maby help to find and fix the bugs?

That would be great :)

could someone please have a look at this code?

I really would like to use this resize image code because it's very useful, but I can't...
The "image bugs" are too confusing for members and espacially new visitors :(

Maby, can someone please make a new Resize Image Code that got exactly the same functions as this code from RedBldSandman?

I'd go ahead and post that in Requests in this case, make sure to explain his code isn't working. :)
