I am referring to the code about a form that is sent to a specific staff forum. Link: Original Code From there its provided at the end how to receive the appeal form to a forum of your choice. I have edited this code for a nomination of award form, which is unedited in spoiler below. I have an application form were I would like to use this feature. But I am having trouble creating the code/script to process the form. Could someone help me with this if I provide the form layout? The form is given in the spoiler and and the code follows (but needs re-coding?) Spoiler: click to toggle Any help is much appreciated! Edited by stargazer, Sep 28 2009, 08:49 AM.

I have one additional question to the code. Can you have guest use the form? You can have guest in the forum settings, but this code does not work when guest try to add their contribution. This does not involve the form above, but a similar one. I would appreciate any help I can get with the code for the form above. I have really no idea how to add dropdown choices to the code. Could you make a page on your forum and put the form code on it? I'll take a try then.

Okay, just copy and paste all of this in to the website maker:Then find in the script at the bottom this line: and change the bit inside the quotes to forum number that you want the new topic to be posted in to ![]() I had to redo the HTML form (which took a while ) that you posted since much of it was deprecated and I needed to add in names for the inputs along with other things. Please, never use the <font> tag ever again You can change it all quickly through the CSS at the top now if you want to make the form look different ![]() To make the form usable for guests, in the script at the bottom, remove these lines: If you want anything changed, just say

Thank you so much,.. it worked for members.I am sorry if it took some time, i didn't mean to make your job harder. I did notice one thing, although it says that the application was sent for guest. I did not receive any application form from the guest (being me logged off). Is this not working for guest? I have added guest to have start ability in that forum which its sent to. This is an additional request: Maybe this is not possible, but can you have the application data sent to your own email as well (email outside of the forum.)? Don't worry about the time, it's what I'm here for ![]() For guests to use it too, use this:
I'm not sure sending an email would work I'm afraid. You can't send emails using javascript. There are ways to send emails from forms but I don't think it would work in this case, it would also rely on the submitter to agree to sending the email as the form would just get the email all ready and they'd actually have to press send again so there's no way to do it without the user agreeing to send it. |
