[ZB] Escalation System (cont.)

A few months ago, I requested and received this marvelous code (thanks Garath531. <3).

However, I'm wondering if it would be possible, along with the current things the code does, if, whenever a post or topic is escalated, that the topic icon changes to a different icon than the regular Topic: No New Posts/New Posts, until an administrator, preferably the root administrator or a set one, views the escalated topic/post.

Apologies if this is in any way against the rules. Thanks.

Well there's no way to find out if a topic/post is escalated from forum view, unless the code changes/adds on to the topic title or description.

Would that be ok?

Or adding an invisible class that could easily be located :3. *Just suggesting here*

Sure - as long as it's not viewable by users without access to the Report CP.

People who don't have Report CP access can turn javascript off, but they'll just see what's been added to the topic title instead of the image.

There's no way to edit the class of the thread when viewing the forum from thread view unless you change something in the title.

Almost done. Quick clarification...

"along with the current things the code does, if, whenever a post or topic is escalated, that the..." Doesn't the code he gave you only escalate posts?

Try this code...

Code:

<script>
add = "@%@"
image = "http://z3.ifrm.com/199/167/0/f434762/Escalate_Icon.png"
var tText = '<img src="http://z3.ifrm.com/199/167/0/f434762/Escalate_Icon.png" alt="Escalate" title="Escalate Post: This will alert Administration of this post by a private message - this function should only be used when the post in question direly deserves the attention of an administrator" />'
var tSendGroups = [];
tSendGroups[tSendGroups.length] = 356422;
</script>
<script src='http://z3.ifrm.com/307/162/0/p222032/escalate.js'></script>
Leave the variable add how it is.
