That got it, I'll have a play around with the timings and see if it cures the "last post" bug as well :D

You could use .hover() instead of .mouseover() and .mouseout()

Set it to 2000, and it allowed me to view the first unread post if I clicked the thread title immediately.

I call that success :D

Same result, plus with mouseover and mouseout, it's easier to read the code and see which function does which; hover is written like this:
$("something").hover(function() {
//in code
},function() {
//out code
});

Glad it works for you LagerLout! :D

You should clearTimeout if you click the link though.

Just a thought. Why use two functions instead of one? TELL ME THAT, O CHOCO!

Why? I mean, I could add it, but it isn't worth it, considering that if you click a link, you're going to visit the page anyway... :P

It just seemed kinda distracting when I clicked any topic link, while waiting for the page to load I'd suddenly see the tooltip appear, and then being directed to the last post as it thought I had viewed it (cos of the tooltip).

Okay, I'm kinda noob at CSS, so if you could tell me where and the code for adding a background so the text could be read easier ( currently it is transparent and I can't read it ) that would be great, thanks! :)
