I'm just curious about all the coders here, the one's I don't know about, but... How long have you been coding? What sort of coding languages do you know? Or if none, do you know any PROGRAMMING languages of any sort? For the different types of languages that you know, what are your favorites? What about the ones you know but can't stand? Also, why would they be your favorite/non-favorite? |

How long have you been coding? 2 month and 5 days - but ~2 years before that, I learned HTML and CSS. I never really used them past learning them until ~1 month ago, though. What sort of coding languages do you know? HTML, CSS, JS (and a few other misc. ones like XML, just some minor background knowledge) Or if none, do you know any PROGRAMMING languages of any sort? Well, I know a bare minimum of C++. Or I used to anyways. Been a long time since I did that. For the different types of languages that you know, what are your favorites? What about the ones you know but can't stand? Also, why would they be your favorite/non-favorite? My favorite is JS for its structure. I like logical sequences and strategy games, so JS is a natural step away due its requirement of problem-solving skills and logical layout. My least favorite is CSS, because it is the most random and appeals to the aesthetics of human nature, something I am very bad at. I can't draw, paint, do graphics, or anything like that, and basically anything that involves styling I'm bad at - so, naturally, I dislike CSS. Edit: I typed the wrong number! I need to L2COUNT.

I started learning JS around november '07 because Slayer's RPG was too hard to install and he ignored my PMs XD . PHP I only started when I started the AIO, but I haven't actually read any tutorials on it. |

HA! XD Lies, I don't even remember you having a problem with it, I remember you pmed me once to start work on something else... Yeah I agree with you Reid on the CSS, very annoying, I can't style worth crap either - or even make graphics/anything else about styling. Also Reid you are one damn fast learner... PHP/MySQL Guy

OK, here goes! How long have you been coding? XHTML/CSS/JavaScript - 4 years PHP/MySQL - 1 year+ AutoIt - 3 years+ Multimedia Fusion + 6 months What sort of coding languages do you know? See above Or if none, do you know any PROGRAMMING languages of any sort? More of a web kinda guy. For the different types of languages that you know, what are your favorites? What about the ones you know but can't stand? Also, why would they be your favorite/non-favorite? Favorites? PHP and MySQL. Can't stand? CSS. It's just so hard that I have everything in my mind of how i want it laid out, but when I do it in CSS in real life, it looks crappy. Also, Internet Explorer can go die in a fiery painful death. Why PHP and MySQL are my fav? Because I've always wanted to create my own User system and I've made my own custom forum. Edited by UrbanTwitch, Jun 4 2009, 11:44 PM.

I'm not being snotty and selfish. I've had a bad day, sorry if it sounded bad. I'm not trying to be that way. On me only posting codes at my site I have a right to just post them there. That seems to be where people like my codes. I've posted some of my codes in different areas, but never got any members to my site, now I only post them on my site and I have more members. |
