But, let's say you have some random variable as a signature, the td element that is. Now you want to find the post directly above it.

How do you do it? Lol. I know it sounds very simple but every way eludes me somehow. The post right above it.. should be easy, right?

So, the given variable is x, the signature's td ( $("td.c_sig") that is, with x being this)

... /facepalm

$(this).parent().parent().children("tr:eq(2)").children(".c_post").html()

Why can't you just use $("td.c_post") in the first place? Unless you have it look for a specific signature, in which case I have no idea as to what you are trying to do.

Store data in a signature and wrap it around a specific post. :D
