Removing the spare tire

For those who have removed the spare tire of our Outie, please post step by step instructions. Sana may pictures. hehe

I want to add air to my spare kase 25psi na lang sya.

Kaya lang baka tumagal ako sa gas station kaka-subok na mag tanggal.

Based on the manual, I just have to unscrew something in the cargo area.

While unscrewing this, bumababa na ba at the same time yung tire?

Do I have to remove the chain and the tire cover to be able to access the air valve?

Thanks!

Ako, kaka try ko lang... Na flat ako eh.. so need ko spare tire... All I can say is ang ganda ng design nang pag alis ng spare tire natin...

Sa cargo area, medyo sa left side may makikita na maliit na parang notch. Open it using a minus screw driver. Then, get the tire wrench and gamitin mo pang ikot... bababa na kusa yung spare tire....ganun lang kadali...

thanks for the info!

so kelangan tanggalin yung tire cover parang lagyan ng hangin?

Pag ibabalik na, baliktad lang ang ikot tapos aakyat na yung gulong?

Yup, pag nakakababa na sa lupa yung buong spare tire, need na tanggalin dun sa cover para makita yung lagayan ng hangin. Then balik ulit and ikot baligtad...

That is also a similar technique found at my Space Wagon... a nut that we have to rotate to lower the tire... the difference is that it is a hook that holds the frame and holds the tire.

And thankfully it is a Full Size Spare and not the Donut found at the Grandis and Galant 240M! hehehehe :)

ok... everyone says that it's easy to remove the spare tire.

I DISAGREE! for one, Hinde kaya ng powers ko hatakin yung spare tire sa likod after ko maibaba. Ilang pounds ba yung lintik na spare tire na yun at halos 5 inches lang kaya kong i-anggat? Then I have to reach for the chain to unhook it which becomes more annoying when I can't see what i was unhooking. I had to go down on my knees to find it! There goes my nails and poise. I Must remind myself to bring a thick plastic and place it under the spare tire para pagka binaba un tires hinde magagasgas yung spare tire cover!

Anyway, the spare is definitely not a female friendly setup. Gusto kong sabunutan yung nag design nun... as in!

shutter kill, i suggest that what you do next time lalo na pag naka japorms ka is to ask the passing cars to help you change your tire :).

kidding aside.. to familiarize myself of the mechanics in removing my spare tire, days after i got my cutie i tried to remove the tire at mejo nahirapan din ako. thanks for sharing, this gives me an idea to have a tanggal-kabit session sa march1 funrun so we have better knowledge on how to do this :D.
