I should note that this is a alternate history Germany with a southern Bavarian influence rather then a northern Prussian one. As a result the Germans conquered Switzerland and Austria instead of Poland and France. In this reality there has been no WW1 or WW2, and The Social Democratic Party of Germany is Germany's leading political party. The Nazi's are a minor footnote lead by Joseph Goebbels who in the early 1930's was a rising star and desperately wanted Hitler out of the party. However no Hitler coupled with a booming economy, no Treaty of Versailles, and a number of scandals have prevented the Nazi's from gaining much in the way of support. It would have a pronounced Austrian flavour, which would raise the question of what would happen to the other Austrian possessions. |

Most territories of the former Austrian-Hungarian empire were absorbed into a rather weak Yugoslavian rump state. The Czech Republic went Polish. |

I can see Poland taking Galicia, but Bohemia and Slovakia would be a stretch. Romania and a Yugoslav state could bite off the southern and eastern bits, or there could be a Greater Hungary. |
