I'm looking for some historical figures on the numbers of different types of aircraft transferred under Lend Lease and who they went to; additionally, pre-Lend Lease sales of aircraft, such as to the French and British Purchasing Commissions, that occured under Cash and Carry are something I eager to find. |

Well there is this that was linked to from Wikipedia. http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USA/ref/LL-Ship/LL-Ship-7.html Under Army Air Forces they have Heavy Bombers, Medium, Light, Fighters, Helicopters, Transport, Trainers, etc, and by various nation and type. "B-17 ----Planes, British Empire, 162". A bit of other stuff too. Trucks, trains, general supplies. Edited by Matthew, Apr 23 2011, 01:20 PM.

Ah, excellent. That will help develop a picture of what was acquired, and what gaps it filled. |

Yes, there are substantial details on the numbers of tanks, aircraft and guns and specific details on miscellaneous equipment. I can see what I can dig out from the above link. Anything specific, or just a general list? Edited by Simon Darkshade, Jun 8 2015, 12:53 PM.

A general list could be interesting. Apparently the Soviets had a habit of procuring some of everything for experimental purposes. |

Here is the list I thought we had: http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/pearl/www.geocities.com/Pentagon/6315/lend.html It does make you wonder about the two Lend Lease pianos. I'll throw in the weapons directly. Edited by Simon Darkshade, Jun 14 2015, 10:57 PM.

Perhaps the pianos were diplomatic gifts or something like that and they were placed on the list to cover all the bases? |
