Our Rules
Alright! Welcome to the site Here are some rules you'll need to follow to be on this site. The Site Rules -This is a site for ALL ages, meaning anything can happen, from a Y-rating to a MA-rating. When you're posting a thread, make sure to include in the title what age audience may enter the thread. -Please be kind, and show respect to others. If someone asks you to stop something, then stop. -Before your character is fit to role play, s/he needs to be approved. You can role play anywhere else but the actually in-character boards before your character is accepted. -Basically, if you follow the rules, you can do whatever the heck you want on this site. -Have fun! The Warrior Code * Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan. * Do not trespass or hunt on another Clan's territory. If a patrol catches you, they then have permission to chase you off their land. * Kits and elders should be fed first, and, unless they have special permission, apprentices cannot eat until the elders have all been fed. * Prey is not killed for sport. You should not kill anything unless someone plans on eating it. You must also give StarClan thanks for its life. * Kits must be six moons old in order to become an apprentice. * New warriors must sit a silent vigil, and watch over the camp while the others sleep. They cannot say a word, and must sit outside no matter what the weather is like, reflecting on warrior responsibilities. * A Clan cat cannot become the deputy of their Clan without having mentored at least one apprentice. * Should the leader of a Clan die or retire, the deputy shall replace the leader. If a deputy dies or retires, the leader must then choose a successor before moonhigh. * Once every full moon, the Clans must have a Gathering with each other. Also, there shall be no fighting among them during this time. And if they do fight, StarClan sends a cloud to cover the moon, showing they are angry, usually ending the Gathering. * The Clan boundaries must be checked and marked by patrols daily. Also, if a patrol finds a trespassing cat, they must chase him off of their territory. This is one of the most commonly broken rules, with many Clans crossing boundaries to catch prey or apprentices not acknowledging the boundaries. * No warrior can ever ignore a kit in pain or danger. This rule applies even if the kit is from a different Clan. * The word of a Clan leader is law. * An honorable cat does not kill in battle, unless the opposing cats are outside the Warrior Code, or if they have to kill in self-defense. * A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet. * A female leader cannot fall in love or have kits. * A medicine cat cannot fall in love or have kits. The rules can be broken, of course, but I don't want to see every medicine cat looking for a mate. Kapish? Kits to Apprentices: Leader: "By naming apprentices, we show that Clan name will survive and remain strong." Leader: " From this moment on, until he/she has earned his/her warrior name, this apprentice will be known as kit name+paw." Leader: " Mentor's name, you are now ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to Apprentice's name. Mentor's name, you have shown yourself to be a warrior of Virtue #1 and Virtue #2 . I'm sure you will pass on all you know to this apprentice." New mentor in the case of the previous one dying, etc: Leader: " I call upon my warrior ancestors to give this apprentice a new mentor. Apprentice name, you have lost your first mentor, so your new mentor will be new mentor's name " Apprentices to Warriors: Leader: Mentors name, are you satisfied that this apprentice is ready to become a warrior?" Mentor: "Yes, she/he is ready" Leader: "I (Leader name, leader of clan name) call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He/she has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn." Leader: " Apprentice name, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?" Apprentice: " I do " Leader: " Then by the powers of Starclan I give you your warrior name. Apprentice name, from now on, you will be known as Warrior name. Clan name welcomes you as a full warrior." Warriors to Elders: Leader: " Warrior name, is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders? New elder: 'it is' Leader: " Your clan honors you and all the service you have given us. I call upon Starclan to give you many seasons of rest." Name Change: Leader: "I call upon my warrior ancestors to take away the name of this cat. For it now longer stands for who she/he is. Cat name, from now on, you shall be known as new name. Medicine Cat Apprentice: Medicine Cat: Apprentice name, is it your wish to enter into the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat? Medicine Cat Apprentice: It is. The Warrior Code
