![]() "England was sick and tired of everyone making fun of his ability to see fairies. Wanting to prove they were not a figment of his imagination, he finally decided to invite the other nations to prove them wrong one warm summer evening. Little did he know he would get much more than what he bargained for..." The Story This is how a quest of (literally) mythical proportions started! In order to make everyone else able to see fairies, England used his dark magic to come up with a potion. His original plan was to put in the final ingredients once everyone had arrived and mix the concoction with the drinks. But thanks to his "cooking curse" the spell backfired and exploded in his face, enveloping the entire house and the vicinities with the blast When he recovered his senses England was shocked to discover he was turned into a rabbit like creature and his entire stash of ingredients had been rendered useless. To make matters worse he was horrified to learn that if he didn't find a way to reverse the spell soon it would become permanent. At first he tried his best to avoid being spotted by the others, ´not knowing they had been affected by the spell as well. That is until ghost Canada passed through the wall in front of him. From that point he tried to gather everyone he could find and have them help him find all the ingredients before it's too late. But that task may prove to be more difficult than they thought at first, because Russia's Shadow will do everything he can to stop them. Edited by Birvan, Jul 3 2010, 06:30 PM.

The Characters This is only an overview. For more detailed information go to the Characters thread England The one responsible for the whole incident and also the only one who has any knowledge on how to fix the situation. Because of this he's (reluctantly) seen as the leader by the others. Which isn't easy considering even under the current circumstances they aren't able to peacefully work together to reach a common goal As for his transformation England turned into a woodland rabbit sprite. That means he gained the abilities of a normal rabbit, like great hearing, speed and ability to dig holes. But on the other hand he has to deal with his new instincts and urges, which can be pretty troublesome at times France England's lifelong rival and the group's overly affectionate "pervert", his new feline traits are both useful and annoying Being a "half Matagot" means he's got enhanced agility and balance, among other traits. On the other hand though his feline instincts made him easily distracted and (amazingly) lowered his inhibitions even further America Being an overly cheerful and energetic nation with a love for heroes, freedom and justice, not even finding himself turned into a (mute) mochi was enough to stop him from constantly sticking his nose into situations. Though he's now pretty useless, America can eat pretty much anything that can fit in his mouth and regenerate himself from any sustained damage Canada America's shy and quiet brother, his invisibility skills were taken a step further by becoming a ghost (which makes America to be terrified of him). Though he's able to go through walls and locate others by sensing their emotional auras, which have their advantages, he's unable to touch things and is easily influenced by the surrounding emotions to the point of making him feel ill Italy Being too cheerful for his own good, he found himself turned into a small, glowing fairy. But considering he gained the ability to grow tomato out of any soil or plants, he was pretty quick to overcome the initial fear. Other than that he's pretty useless Germany His efficiency and neatness (and "bad temper") were perfectly translated when he turned into a Kobold (german "house elf"), much to his dismay. Luckily the others haven't realized his connection to house chores, so he pretends to be just a random elf (until Prussia lets the cat out of the bag). He's pretty strong for his size Prussia Though he wasn't invited by England he ended up being caught by the blast while lurking around the house. So no one knows he was actually there, which gives him room to act as a spy Because he was turned into a white "easter hare" he has similar abilities to England, though he's bigger and faster. Also because Gilbird was with him at the time (who physically didn't change but gained the ability to multiply itself) he can command an army of Gilbirds Japan He has perhaps one of the most horrified with his own changes, having become a kappa. First because he turned into something he stopped believing in a long time ago, and second because he knows too well the beastly behavior some of them have (including their "defense mechanism") Being someone who believes in keeping his emotions under control, he tries his best not to give in to the urges. He also keeps himself close to water at all times, since otherwise he could become too weak to move China Having become a Shinatty-chan version of Sun Wukong, he's delighted on how cute he looks (much to Japan's annoyance). His abilities include copycatting others, though he always turns out as a cheap looking version of the original Russia The blast caused him to split into 2 polar opposite figures, kid Russia (ChibIvan) and Shadow Russia (the Shadow). ChibIvan is his innocent and harmless side and also the physical body to which the Shadow depends on. The Shadow is his demonic and evil side, a non corporeal being but still dangerous Although as it grows in power it becomes more independent, the Shadow cannot exist without its physical body, reason why it's so protective. And because its power comes from ChibIvan's negative emotions and fears, it tries to "raise" him to best suit his needs (aka shut him off from the rest of the world and make him believe he's alone and hated by everyone but the Shadow) On the other hand ChibIvan is terrified of his Shadow (especially how cold it is), to the point he doesn't realize he has the power to control it if he doesn't give in to the fears he's being force fed with The Baltics Having being forced to accompany Russia, Lithuania found himself turned into a dog Vilkacis, Estonia into a "man eating sheep" and Latvia into a "mouse sprite" (these are still up to discussion). Although they also want to return back to normal, Shadow Russia was quick to enlist them as his underlings and forced them to sabotage the hunt for ingredients |

The Setting This is only an overview. For more detailed information go to the Setting thread The entire story happens inside and around England's country house, a mansion set in the middle of the English countryside The mansion is a 3 floored Georgian/Elizabethan styled building, a reminder of the power and splendor found during the British Empire. Though still large by modern home standards, its a smaller cousin of the grand mansions built during this era (mainly because it wasn't meant to house an entire family) Surrounding the mansion are well kept gardens and a river, followed by a natural park filled with trees and wildlife |
