Alright, It appears to me as if this needs to be said (of all things on the internet). Please keep in mind that these are not rules of the game. They are merely guidelines that prevent you from doing something stupid. However, it can be noted that completely disobeying these rules COULD lead to longer jail and mute times, or even banning. Rules: 1) Do not nag people. This is probably the number 1 thing that gets people ticked off enough to ignore you, even when its something important such as your unjailing or unmuting. It also leaves a very bad impression and some GMs can put it under the harassment rule and mute you because of your nagging. 2) Don't try to speak for the community without talking to them first. Once again, this can leave a very bad impression especially if you're speaking negatively. People can speak on their own and if they prefer their words aren't heard, its not your obligation to force it out of them by speaking the words yourself. 3) Try not to argue in shout. If you do, it can cause the entire community to erupt in hatred and become bias. This also works with a common human trait that I call "The hive logic." This causes people to switch sides and even begin procreating their hatred towards one subject to a point in which its disastrous for everyone in forms of stress or even forgiveness. Another downside is the fact that when everyone joins the argument, everyone could get muted by the GM at the time. this can be avoided by just finding the person and speaking to them through tell, say, another channel, or even through other messengers such as MSN. 4) Unnecessary comments are unnecessary. Think about what you say at times before you say it. Its understood that people make jokes or something all the time. However, smarting off or saying something offensive could lead to arguments or worse. This is the perfect way to make a bad reputation for yourself (the bad kind). 5) Try not to join an argument if you're currently not at all a part of it. This adds to the tension of the situation and could only lead to a possible mute plus any friends you had that supported an opposing side will not consider you much of a friend anymore due to bias that tends to build up throughout the argument. If an argument sparks up, the best thing to do is to report it to an outside GM or owner then leave it be. People can post other rules below and I will take them and put em up here if its felt that it should be added |

--------------------------- "Why is everything so technical, got me thinkin' mechanical, puffin' on those botanicals, every second so critical. Bored with the human language, pain beat on my mental. Messin' with chemicals, sick as the appetites of cannibals. Far away they shoot a laser from a computer- ricochets off a satellite panel to a missile silo in Cuba. Eyes behold catastrophe, foreseen by Nostradamus. The prophets peep the millennium age of the broken promise. More religions than park pigeons, the poor envy the rich and monetary decisions make pessimistic the vision. It's like the whole planet went off the deep end While I was sleepin'. Men be leapin off ledges, when their women leave for the weekend. Why?" -Rehab, Chest Pain ![]()
