I wrote this a while back to freak Mech out and practice my writing skills. Please post your constructive criticism. And nothing about how weird it is or anything- only about the writing itself. I KNOW it's going to be disturbing to a non-furry and stuff, so don't bother reminding me. Without further adu... A Pricey Snack - by Sprout Renel's stomach growled. There simply wasn't enough food to feed her growing draconic body these days. Most of the deer had migrated somewhere else, and everything else had gotten smart enough to keep themselves hidden. If this kept up, she might have to move somewhere else- and she did NOT want to leave her hoard behind. A dragon's metabolism was a flexible thing- while dragons tended to eat quite a bit, they could go for a long time without food, as Renel had done for several days now. However, any dragon prefers to eat at least once per day, and Renel was somewhat irritated by this... Meanwhile, Sprout continued to stroll through the forest. He liked to travel around, and walks in the forest were a great way to keep his mind clear of troubling thoughts such as how many people had tried to kill him today, how much longer until that dimensional rift destroyed the world, and more importantly, where his socks were. He sighed in relief. The weather was nice, the trees gently swayed in the wind, and there were no wandering monsters trying to stab him. Actually, there didn't seem to be ANY wildlife around. Sprout breifly contemplated the absence of fauna, but quickly dismissed it as a coincidence. He stared around and gazed at the scenery. The trees were healthy and strong, the flowers were aromatic and beautiful.. even the ground had a moist luster to it. What he didn't notice, however, was the pair of eyes, watching him from the foilage.. Renel got lucky. Humans were tastier than deer, and generally were easier to catch. Unfourtuantly, most of the humans that she met, back when she was still a hatchling in her parent's den, she wasn't allowed to eat. She didn't really understand why her father hired these humans to do such mundane tasks such as cleaning and cooking. Why not just eat them? But that was in the past, and her prey was in sight now. She examined her future meal with interest- he wasn't like the other humans. His long green hair seemed to spike up, as if aided by simple magic. His simple travelling clothes revealed the thin frame underneath. He wouldn't be as meaty as he could have been, but he didn't look like he could put up much of a fight. Perfect, she thought to herself- an easy meal. Renel grinned, revealing a set of sharp, draconic teeth. She burst out of hiding and lunged at the human, roaring in glee. Sprout suddenly heard movement behind him. His reflexes faster than a cat's, he pulled out his daggers and narrowly parried a vicious attack. Jumping backwards, Sprout glanced at his attacker. Rather than the orc or goblin he was expecting, a young red dragon was snarling at him, obviously angry that her ambush had failed. Before he could pacify the dragon, however, she lunged at him once again. Letting his uncanny reflexes dodge the brutal assault, Sprout breifly sized up a strategy. The dragon was probobly about 19, given her size. She was about an arm's length taller than him and about five times his length. At her age and size, her claws weren't the only weapon to fear. Her fiery breath would incapacitate him in a moment if he let himself get caught by it. And if he were pinned.. Sprout suddered at the thought, and resumed his defensive stance. If possible, he would try to defuse the situation without harming the dragoness, but given her level of aggression, that seemed unlikely. She lunged at him a third time, both her claws prepared to rip him into shreds. Using his daggers to deflect the attack, Sprout sprung onto the dragoness's back. Generally, the worst way to calm an angry dragon is when they're activley trying to kill you. If you could get on their back, however, they wouldn't be able to attack you, apart from violently flinging you off. Grabbing onto her horns to stabilize himself, Sprout prepared for the inevitable struggle that would ensue. Renel suddenly felt a large weight on her back. First this human had managed to block all of her attacks, and now he was trying to RIDE her? "Get off NOW, or i'll shred you into confettii!" Renel shouted at her prey. "You're not in much of a position to threaten me, are you?" the human responded. "Now, I suggest you stop this mindless aggression before I have to ride you to the nearest town and sell you to a zookeeper." Renel grunted in anger. She wouldn't let herself get beaten by this.. human! She began to wildly flail around, hoping to dislodge him from his perch. He seemed the be expecting this precisely and held on tight. Renel flailed with more vigor, ready to pounce as soon as the pathetic human lost his grip and fell to the ground. But.. he never did. Renel's flailing began to subside, as she slowly tired out. Eventually, she collapsed to the ground, panting. Sprout got off the exhausted dragoness, feeling a tinge of pity. "Now that we're quite through with this, care to explain what that was all about?" he asked, curious as to why she had attacked him. The dragoness seemed way too tired to answer, so she simply grunted at him angrily. Her stomach growled rather loudly as she glared at him menacingly. "Ah. I suppose you're quite hungry. There aren't many animals around here. Well, I SUPPOSE if you had asked, I could have conjured you some food. It's simple magic, really." he stated, hoping to quell the dragoness's rage. Sprout dusted himself off and straightened his hair. "I'll tell you this, at least- there's plenty of deer to the south. I suppose you live around here, so it shouldn't be too far. Now, if you'll excuse me, i'll be off now." he said, smiling at the dragoness. Sprout began to walk off, but not before he felt a large claw slam into his back. Taken completely by surprise, Sprout fell to the ground, helpless, but not before seeing the not-very-tired dragoness pin him to the ground with her claw. Renel grinned toothily at the foolish human. "You're not in much of a position to leave, are you?" she snarled at him, drooping her head in close to instill fear into his heart. "Perhaps you were lying about the deer. Perhaps not. It doesn't matter. After what you did to me, there's no WAY i'm just going to let you go. Any last words, human?" she asked, ready to hear him grovel for her mercy. The human nodded slowly. "Avit Karum Reiko.." he said. The words made no sense to Renel, but they had a chilling feeling to them. She wasn't going to get much grovelling out of this little morsel, so she grasped the human in her claw, slowly lowering him into her maw.. Sprout had cast the spell just in time, feeling his protection from acid seep over him. A dragon of her size would have a stomach just large enough to contain him, and he could find a way to escape after she had fallen asleep. As he was lowered into her maw, he could feel the damp, warm feeling of her saliva coat him. A long draconic tounge wrapped itself around him, obviously savouring his most likely delicious flavor. The claw released him, and the maw shut, leaving him in darkness. "Rythh.." Sprout quickly uttered, creating a small source of light that would allow him to see. Her maw was illuminated by a dull green light. Her tounge was still wrapped around his form, and the smell of rotting meat hung in the air. Her sharp teeth luckily remained still- he had no way of protecting himself from those. The tounge suddenly started pushing him to the back of the throat, where a dark gaping hole led to the dragoness's stomach. The fleshy walls contracted and pushed, and Sprout found himself sliding down the dragoness's gullet. The saliva-coated throat was slimy, squeezing, and not very pleasant. Eventually, Sprout found himself in a larger, more spacious chamber- her stomach. The throat contracted behind him, leaving only one exit- another contracted tunnel that the rotted meat smell originated from. Sprout sincerely hoped it would not come to that, and rested his head against the stomach wall, formulating a plan of escape... Renel sighed in relief. She had managed to best the human and enjoyed a nice snack as a bonus. He was quite delicious, actually. She regretted that she did not enjoy his full flavor by chewing him, but she wanted him to suffer for as long as possible. Somewhat bloated by the human resting in her gut, she trudged back to her lair, where she would reward her victory with a nice long nap. After a long content hike, her belly full of human adding a comforting burden to her trip, Renel curled up on her nest, yawned deeply, and fell asleep, full and content. Sprout almost had a plan worked out. His clothes, which weren't protected by his spell, had already dissolved into the dragoness's stomach acid. He was lucky that he wasn't wearing his magic equipment, as dragons had the rather interesting ability of dissolving enchantments and converting it into mana for the dragon to use at their leisure. His spells weren't bound to a material focus, so they were immune to this effect, luckily, but Sprout was glad that his armor was resting at home for once. Checking the time spell that he had cast earlier, he found that he had about two hours until the dragon's digestive system took hold and passed him the rest of the way- plenty of time to escape, but there was always a chance of failure. And while it wouldn't kill him, the process would likely not be pleasant, and there was no guarentee that the dragoness wouldn't, afterwards. Sprout cycled through his list of possibilities- dragons didn't vomit easily. It took a very powerful disease to make a dragon sick, and even then, their strong immune systems took care of most of the dirty work. A teleportation spell was impossible- he didn't have any of the reagents required for a long range spell, and a short range was too risky- he didn't know where he was at all, and he didn't really want to be lodged in the ceiling. Phasing to an incorporeal form wouldn't work either- a dragon's stomach lining blocked magic just as good as it did acid. And cutting his way out was out of the question, he didn't really understand why, but he was completely against harming the dragoness, despite the fact that she had swallowed him whole. The only thing that seemed to be an option was letting nature take it's course, and hoping that the dragoness wouldn't notice. It would be unpleasant, risky, and extremely uncomfortable, but it seemed like he had no other choice.. unless.. yes. Sprout grinned, and began to weave a spell... Renel yawned, stretched, and rose out of her nest. The morning was bright and fresh, and last night's meal still gave her belly a pleasant weight. That human would keep her well-fed for days, a suitable punishment for making a fool of her. Suddenly, however, she was filled with an irrisistable urge to practice breathing fire. She wasn't entirely sure why, but she shrugged and headed to the charred rock in the corner of her cave that was used for one purpose only.. Sprout could feel the dragoness moving about- his spell seemed to have worked.. now all she needed to do was start breathing fire- her throat would expand, and he could climb out. A quick fire protection spell would shield him from the brundt of the flames, and a simple stunning spell would let him keep the dragoness off his tail long enough for him to get back to town. Now all he needed to do was wait. Suddenly, the dragoness stopped. Sprout wasn't sure why. Perhaps she had an itch to scratch. The stomach walls started to violently shake, and Sprout was filled with dread as the smell of rotting meat became twice as strong... The stomach twisted and contracted, and Sprout found himself sliding down the dragoness's intestines.. Renel suddenly lost the urge to breathe fire when a small commotion in her belly distracted her for a moment. The human.. or what's left of him, at least, will get to come out pretty soon.. Renel snickered to herself and contemplated the rest of her day. Perhaps she'd go and hunt for some more treasure. Yes.. that'll do nicely. Renel balanced herself, flapped her wings a few times to warm them up, and flew into the morning sky. The gentle breeze lightly danced on her thick scales as Renel gazed upon the landscape below. This was HER forest, and nothing would ever take that away from her. She spied a caravan travelling down a lonely road- perfect. There were no guards in sight, and Renel was sure it would be filled with treasures for her hoard. She wasn't too hungry, so perhaps she'd save the mules and traders for later. Renel swooped down and roared fiercely, spooking the mules and toppling one of the wagons over. A frightened trader scrambled out and brandished a knife. Unlike her recent meal, he was holding it incorrectly, his hand shaking, positively dripping with fear. She pounced on the terrified man and growled at him. It was fun to make them shreik, which was exactly what the man did. "Pleasedonthurtmepleasedonthurtme..." the man grovelled, perhaps hoping that Renel would let him go. Renel grinned. What a foolish human. "Perhaps if you tell me where your treasure is, i'll let you go.." Renel lied. Even if she didn't eat him on the spot, she wasn't going to let a juicy meal like this one get away. "We-..we don't have.. any.. t-treasure, m'am.." the man stuttered, given up struggling against Renel's iron-tight grip. Renel growled at the man and bared her razor-sharp teeth. The man shreiked. "We.. do.. h-have some.. cargo.. b-but it's... nothing you'd n-need... m'am.." he said, hopelessly trying to bargain for his life, probobly. "Oh? Like what?" Renel asked, her patience wearing thin. The man's fear suddenly turned into satisfaction as he grinned darkly at Renel. She felt a sharp pain in her flank and she rolled off of the man. A stunning paralysis came over her as the man removed the poisoned arrow from her still body. "Exotic animals, namely.." the man said, throwing a net over Renel, who passed out from the Dragonbane.. Sprout felt the dragoness's body shiver and collapse- something had happened out there, apparently. Meanwhile, his slow decent through the dragoness's intestines contined drudgingly. Sprout had long since given up a way to escape and simply awaited the inevitable. The smell of rotted meat began to intermingle with the putrid odor of dragon crap- and Sprout knew he wouldn't just be smelling it, soon. The many tiny villi prodded his naked body, searching for the nutrients that weren't there. The mixture of the enclosed space and the dragoness's natural body heat left Sprout's fleshy prison uncomfortable and sweaty. A quick spell kept his body from overheating, but the feeling was still there. The enclosed tunnel confined him to a small pocket just barely able to contain his form, the intestines contracting and expanding to squeeze his body through the rest of the dragoness's digestive system. It was a long process, and Sprout estimated it would take another hour or so- and while he envied escape, the odor and sticky feeling grew by the minute. Would it be worth it? Renel woke with a splitting headache. Her arrow wound had been bandaged, and as her eyes focuses, she found herself in a dark wagon, chained to the wall. Her strength had been completely sapped by that blasted Dragonbane. Those stupid humans had gotten the advantage on her and locked her up here.. she hated them so much. She would exact her revenge once she escaped.. the question, was how? She was almost too weak to move, just barely able to crawl, and she was sure that the traders had more Dragonbane. Plus, she was chained to a wall, a steel collar wrapped around her neck. She had no idea how to escape. Her stomach began to ache slightly. It felt like the human from yesterday had completed his trip.. Sprout sighed. He was almost out of the dragoness's body, and yet he had to wait a bit longer. The noxious goop that surrounded him was almost choking- it was making him gag. He was filthy, tired, and hungry. He sincerely hoped that it would be over soon. As if by magic, the walls of his prison began to convulse. The worst of it was about to come, but it was almost over. As his feet slid into the disgusting substance, Sprout held his breath. He twitched slightly as the feces enveloped him, shrouding him in a brown cocoon. Renel shivered as she finished her buisiness. It was tiring, and she would likely have to smell it for the rest of her trip, a feat she didn't envy. Suddenly, a speck of movement caught her eye. A figure emerged from her leavings and coughed violently.. it was that human that she ate the other day! How did he survive? "Human.. I don't know how you survived, but you better explain fast before I devour you again!" Renel demanded, making a mental note to clean him off before eating him. The human collapsed against a corner, absolutely covered in the foul substance. He breathed deeply, wiping the crap out of his eyes. "It was.. a simple shielding spell, really. Now.. where.. are we..?" he asked, visibly exhausted from his journey. His human clothes seemed to have dissolved into nothingness. "Some of your kind locked me in here after I tried to kill them." Renel said with a snarl. "Well, maybe you should stop trying to kill people so much? I find that people are a lot more friendly to others who don't threaten them at clawpoint.." he said, having lost none of his charm from before. Renel's first thought was that he was crazy.. but as she thought about it, she realized that he WAS right. Perhaps she would have more luck by not trying to eat everyone she met. She watched as the human began to wash himself with a nearby barrel of ale- the potent achohol cleared his body of all filth and masked most of the scent as well. Renel found herself staring at him while he washed.. he was kinda cute. Renel blushed and resumed trying to work off her collar. Sprout found a pair of clothes stacked on a crate full of salted meat. After donning the rather fancy clothing and feasting on the meat with the dragoness, Sprout began to ask her about her past. "What's your name? Mine's Sprout." he asked. "Oh.. uhh.. my name is Renel." she responded, a little flustered for some reason. Sprout cocked an eyebrow at her and fiddled with his dagger. "I suppose that collar is bugging you. Here, let me take it off.." he said, shooting a small bolt of electricity at it, shattering it. Immediatly, he felt the weight of the dragoness as she pinned him to the ground. "Aw.. don't start this again..." he said, sincerely wishing to not be eaten again. Renel simply smiled at him seductivly and licked his cheek. "I won't eat you just yet. You still have use to me, Sprout." she said, lifting her weight off of Sprout. He sighed in relief and began to examine the wagon that they were locked in. It was relativetly simple- several crates of goods were stacked around the room. Two exits were visible- a large set of double doors for large cargo, (and dragons) plus a smaller one likely leading to another part of the wagon. Both of the doors were locked. Not a problem, Sprout thought to himself, pulling a metal lockpick from his hair. Metal didn't dissolve too well. Sprout quickly had the lock picked, motioned for Renel to stay put, and entered the room beyond. It was a simple room with a table in the center, likely used when the traders gambled their profits to each other during the night. A small window was in the room. Careful to not make too much noise, Sprout gazed out of it. They were on a long plain, the endless grasses only broken by the city in the distance. Several of the traders walked alongside the wagons, brandishing weapons and drinking heavily, likely celebrating their recent catch. Sprout counted them, estimated the amount of resistance, and grinned. This shouldn't take long at all. Renel stretched her neck and waited for Sprout to return. She already felt her strength returning- the collar must have been sapping it. "Alright, they've got about twelve men out there, four of which that look like they can fight. The only one with Dragonbane is their archer, and I can take him out easily if given the chance? Can you fight?" he explained. "CAN I fight? I beat you, didn't I?" Renel retorted, grinning at Sprout. He simply rolled his eyes and unlocked the back door, letting both of them out onto the ground. Sprout peered around at the traders, who had stopped the wagons to camp for the night. Sprout climbed on top of the wagon, leaped into the circle of traders, and thrust a dagger into the archer's face. The traders screamed in surprise- several drew weapons. They confidently advanced on Sprout, but their confidence diminished as Renel leaped into the fray and severed two of them in half. The battle was over shortly, with all but one of the traders dead. It was the man that Renel had attacked earlier. His fear seemed to be genuine this time, as he didn't even try to bargain for his life- he just screamed. Renel lowered him into her maw and swallowed him whole. "Maybe this one won't get free, you think?" she sarcastically quipped to Sprout, who began to loot the wagons. "There, that's half of the loot for you, half for me. I suppose you know how to get home from here?" Sprout asked, strapping a sack of treasure to a crude leather harness he made for Renel. "Yes.. but.. I can't just let you go like that." Renel said motioning for Sprout to mount. Sprout complied, and soon they were soaring through the air, the wagons burning in the distance. "I suppose you want me to show you those deer, then?" Sprout asked, hoping that his lie wouldn't be revealed. "No.. the favor I need of you is a little more.. personal." Renel stated, nuzzling Sprout on the cheek. Sprout understood what she meant. Sprout wasn't entirely sure why he agreed to make love with the dragoness. Perhaps he had swallowed a bit of that ale. Maybe not. But he had enjoyed it, and there was no going back. He shrugged and resumed his travels. Perhaps their paths would cross again one day. Perhaps. |

At least my creepy stories are original content rather than fanfics. Although there was this one FFVII fic I wrote a while back where Hojo succesfully bred Aeris(th) and Red XIII. I think I got banned from two sites for posting it. |
