Hello everyone, and welcome to the Bleach Forum RP on Zetaboards! We are the first Bleach based forum Roleplaying Game on Zetaboards, and heck, we're proud! These forums were created with the sole purpose of uniting dedicated, creative, and totally awesome Bleach fans together into one Roleplaying community to provide as much leisure and creative inspiration as possible. The site is based on the popular anime and manga series by Tite Kubo, Bleach. Those who wish to roleplay on this site need to have a decent knowledge of the series Bleach before you start Roleplaying. Most of the episodes can be seen on Youtube.com or Veoh.com for free. The site is currently new, and if you haven't noticed already, I am in need of staff members to help me around a little bit. You don't need to have tons of experience to be a staff member but the more the better. The site is at an intermediate to advanced level, meaning that we will not be accepting any one lined posts, bad-grammar, or any txt-talk. For example, iF u tlk lke dis d3n u wll di3. I think we get the point now don't we? Anyways, moving onward, The plot for this forum is freelance and solely up to the minds of the roleplayers who wish to join. Canon characters are not allowed, meaning that the entire Bleach universe is for you to create the way you want it to be. The standard Gotei 13 and Espada factions are still in place though, just in case you want to join those ranks. As you can see, we have many different sections pertaining to custom equipment, techniques, etc...Perhaps in the future, we might add a custom race feature, so stay tuned for further information on that. The limit on character creation is five, therefore you may only be able to roleplay with five characters at the same time. This forum is also a "fluid" RPing board. Meaning that you may be able to roleplay your character in many different places at the same time. This is however limited to four places at a time to prevent utter confusion and sloppyness. Character Skill Levels When creating a character, you're going to be wondering how strong you can make your character. Here is the answer to that question. You may only have one captain class character. The Commander/General Level is the strongest and may only be awarded to those who have been handpicked by the moderators as the best Roleplayers on the forum. The maximum amount of Commander/General characters that there may be on these forums at one time is five. We do this to avoid over-powering the players and providing a fair community for people to Roleplay in. Note: These are just levels of power, not actual ranks. Some unseated Shinigami might be able to even match Espada if they play their cards right.
Zanpakuto Shikai/Bankai & Human Ability Restrictions The following abilities are off limits for those wishing to construct a Shikai or a Bankai, or for Humans who want a soul ability. Those who already have them before this list was implemented got lucky and are able to keep them, but any more will be denied. Speed Complete Hypnosis More than one Zanpakuto Reiatsu Absorption Canon Zanpakuto abilities (any already shown from Bleach) The list will be added to as necessary. Human Ability Rules Now it might seem unfair that we implemented this restriction since humans have a very freestyle range of abilities, but the ones we’ve seen listed so far have pushed the envelope to the point where this needed to be used. A human who is able to see spirits is a rare occurrence, about a 1 in 10,000 chance of someone being able to see what others cannot. Even rarer are these ‘Soul Seers’ being able to use a power, manifested of their own spiritual energy, in order to protect themselves or others were shinigami, or ,in the off-hand case, Quincy, cannot. These humans have some reiatsu, but their manifestation is not as grand or noticeable as a shinigami’s Zanpakuto release or a hollow’s awakened power. A human’s abilities are limited to these factors: - How much reiatsu they have (time limit or power reserve) - What their reiatsu manifests as (Kido-like effects, weapons, or passive skills) - How often they can use their ability - And their sealed form (i.e. Orihime’s hair pins) required to activate them. Humans can only have one reiatsu manifestation. If you make a human who has a ‘soul power’, you must state whether it is a weapon type (i.e. Chad’s armored arms) or a set of reiatsu-based skills (i.e. Orihime’s Shun Shun Rikka), which will be limited to 3 from now on. Reiatsu vs. Reishi Reiatsu is internal spiritual power. Humans, Shinigami, and Hollows use this to fight amongst one another. When used against a hollow, the Zanpakuto of the shinigami or the Soul Ability of the human cleanses the hollow of sin and allows the hollow to pass onto Soul Society. Reiatsu is generated by the Soul Sleep, a structure in the soul located 19 mm to the right of the heart and is vital for a soul’s ability to maintain itself. It generates reiatsu through absorbing spirit particles at a slow but steady rate, allowing for healthy recovery of reiatsu. Reishi, on the other hand, is external spiritual energy in the form of spirit particles. This is what Quincy use to do combat with spiritual beings and fuel their abilities, utilizing what little reiatsu they have as humans to draw in and use the spiritual energy around them to fight. Bounts use spirit particles, consuming entire souls, to heal themselves and manifest their doll. While stronger Quincy can dematerialize solid spiritual matter, their abilities are limited to the concentration of spirit particles in the immediate area. When a Quincy uses spirit particles to do combat against hollows, a Quincy destroys the spiritual build-up of the Hollow soul and thus kills it, not allowing it to move onto Soul Society. This is seen as ‘disturbing the balance’, and thus Quincy activity has been heavily reduced by the shinigami. Only handfuls of Quincy remain, but they still continue to operate when necessary. Reishi is off limits to Shinigami, Hollows, and Humans except for Quincy and Bounts for health purposes; powers relating to spirit particles fall under this category. Everyone else uses reiatsu. Hollows: Anatomy & Behavior For those that don't know much about hollows, you should read this one through. Shinigami know little about hollows, but through study & understanding we have come to know Hollows as fallen Plus souls, ones who feed on the Pluses and sometimes the Shinigami in order to maintain their existence. They reside in Hueco Mundo, where the spirit particle content is extremely dense and can sustain the hollows almost indefinitely. A hollow is easily identified by their white mask and their holes in the middle of their chest to show that their chain of fate has corroded and their heart is lost. They usually have a monstrous, reptilian, or insect-like appearance. A hollow is drawn to high spiritual energy through extremely sharp senses, being animalistic in nature, thus will find it and try to eat it in order to maintain its form and strength. Eating souls causes a hollow to grow in power and size, thus killing them fast will prevent their becoming too hard to get under control. Concealing reiatsu is the only known way to get a hollow off someone’s spiritual scent, thus shinigami have made sure that they do not release so much reiatsu as to attract unwanted hollow attention. Hollow bait, a white coin of extremely condensed spiritual particles created by the Quincy, will draw hollows out of Hueco Mundo at a rapid rate. At most only 50 to 60 weak hollows will be drawn to the bait, maybe some with little strength, as it is not powerful enough to attract anything stronger or of bigger masses. A Menos-class hollow will not be attracted to such a piece of bait. An Arrancar is born when a hollow summons enough power to remove their mask in order to acquire shinigami powers. Naturally created arrancar are less efficient than the ones created by Aizen's Orb of Distortion, in which the naturally-created ones are still somewhat hollow-like in appearance where as the Aizen-brand arrancar are much more human-like. However, in this RP, we will be pretending that Aizen and the Orb of Distortion never existed, and that the Arrancar were able to rip their masks off by sheer will. Bleach Universe Facts These are some common things that should be kept in mind when RPing in a Bleach universe setting. - Spiritual beings need spirit particles to breathe. Weaker beings don’t need as much as stronger beings. Hueco Mundo and Soul Society are loaded with spirit particles. Any being other than a Quincy messing with spirit particles is off limits. - Soul Society sees hollows of all kinds as a threat. If your character has a hollow side, you will be targeted by the shinigami. - Any shinigami doing illegal things on earth (too much time spent there, transfer of powers, etc.) will be considered a criminal by Soul Society. - Each Shinigami has a salary paid by Soul Society for hollow cleansing & other affairs if the shinigami do their job right. - Entry to Hueco Mundo or Soul Society by outsiders or enemy forces is strictly monitored. - There are noticeable power gaps between several kinds of people. The most noticeable are Shinigami Captains & Vice-Captains, Arrancar Numeros & Espada, Vizards, and Quincy. More will be added when we think of them. Now that you have read this, I will add on as a final note that when you apply for a character, in order to get it accepted, you must enter a password at the top of your profile.
