Cowboys owner meets with attorney to discuss legal options in wake of collapse
By Tom Orsborn- Express-News

IRVING – Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is meeting this morning at team headquarters with Dallas-based attorney Levi McCathern to discuss the club’s legal options in the wake of the collapse of the team’s indoor practice facility.

McCathern’s firm, McCathern Mooty LLP, specializes in catastrophic damage litigation and is “primary trial counsel” for the Cowboys and Jones’ family, according to the firm’s Web site.

Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple declined Sunday to comment on possible legal action.

The practice facility, which was destroyed Saturday during a thunderstorm that spawned winds of up to 70 mph, was built by Summit Structures of Allentown, Pa., a division of Cover-All Building Systems of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Nathan Stobbe, president and CEO of Cover-All, did not immediately return phone messages left Monday morning.

Saturday’s accident sent 12 to the hospital, including two with severe injuries.

Cowboys scouting assistant Rich Behm is paralyzed from the waist down after his spinal cord was severed in the collapse, the team announced Sunday. Special teams coach Joe DeCamillis is scheduled to have surgery this morning to repair a broken back.
