I was SO pissed off this morning. With a 10 game losing streak I'm just begging for a win. I really do think a lot of my offensive struggles are a combination of my sucking (75%) but also half my guys are in a cold streak. Anyway, I actually scored more than 2 runs and had a 3-2 lead in the 8th inning. With two out in the 8th the Padres hit a deep ball to RF and Melky ran it down and dropped it. It was a running grab so it was not ruled an error. 11th f**king misplay I've seen. f**king bulls**t. Error slider now down to -3 after that s**t. I end up losing 4-3 and wasted another Bumgarner start. So sick of seeing that crap. Edited by Rudy, Mar 24 2012, 12:41 PM.

Giants win! Giants win! Giants win! The 11 game skid is over and the Giants are now 5-17! Tim Lincecum returned from injury to pitch 8 innings and get a much needed 6-2 win for the Giants. Tim got into trouble here and there and I had him go another inning longer than I would have liked but my bullpen needed the rest. The Giants offense came alive as they hit 3 HRs - Freddy Sanchez with his first and Brandon Belt hit two. Belt hit a 440' bomb into the Cove! Very nice although I couldn't get a replay to actually show the ball hit the water unlike the replay after I actually hit it (the highlight video doesn't either unfortunately). So relieved to get the monkey off my back. Buster Posey still hasn't hit a HR yet. We've got highlights! Edited by Rudy, Mar 24 2012, 04:18 PM.

The errors you see is crazy. My team hasn't committed an error in probably 5 games now. Still haven't seen a dropped fly ball since the second game I've played. I wonder what is affecting it. |

I don't know. The funny thing is the first three times I saw it I think it was just the cpu doing it. Now it's just me. I've caught so many bad breaks on that losing streak that it was just unbearable to watch some of these things kill me. Got fielding errors down to 3 (-2) and I hope I don't see one for a long time. More than half of the ones I've seen have been at default or less than default now. I can understand if they are trying to emulate defensive ability for outfielders but I'd rather see it by the outfielder taking a wrong initial step or not quite getting to the ball with an animation that doesn't have him catch it. But to just see an outfielder run over and have it clang off his glove is very frustrating. Jason Bay has done a number of them for me, Pagan one and Melky quite a few. I know Bay and Pagan aren't known for good defense but Bay's problem is normally lack of range, not an inability to keep the ball from bouncing off his glove. Maybe I'm just one of the unluckiest guys in the world with this problem. Maybe Hank's right in that when I boosted the slider initially maybe it screwed something up and I can't fix it anymore. Either way I would be absolutely fine if I never saw another misplayed fly ball. I played over 100 games on the Show 09 and maybe saw one dropped fly ball in the entire time I had with the game. I did like the 2K outfielder system where the catching area was a lot larger for bad defensive players although it could lead to some routine misplays that I didn't care either. |

Won two games in a row now! Beat the Marlins 5-3. It looks like Cain won't be pitching against me in this series. Brandon Belt hit another HR - a monster shot to the deepest part of the ball park. It was 430 feet as I somehow had the patience to wait on a change up and using a normal swing blasted it. Buster Posey hit his first HR of the year, a three run shot to give me a nice lead. Ryan Vogelsong was pitching very well early on and pitched a strong 5 innings. Unfortunately he got plunked trying to bunt at the bottom of the 5th and hurt his arm and had to leave the game. He's only expected to be out 1-2 days fortunately. Brian Wilson has been a bit shaky for me this year but he came on to strike out the final batter of the 8th inning with two guys on base. He also worked his way out of a little trouble in the 9th to earn another save. 6-17! Colorado leads the division at 16-7 so I've got a long ways to go to get out of the basement.
