That's a TON of runs! What I like about games now is that even if you score 28 runs in a series, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Some might say, "that's not sim like," but sometimes it happens. You'll get a weird series where a team rattles of 12 runs. You sometimes see some massive ass whoopings each year. The Yankees give up at least 15runs to the Indians a couple times a year (no joke). That does suck about guys getting pulled too soon. |

Last year one guy used to complain that the scores were always too similar. Definitely not the case with me in 2K11. I wasn't nearly as scared of the Orioles lineup like I was with the Yankees. The Orioles do have some good hitters in Luke Scott and Vladdy but there are enough holes that you can afford to walk a dangerous hitter. Not the Yankees or Red Sox. Put someone one and another bad ass comes to the plate. The cpu hitters do have a lot of randomness to them. If you throw a weak pitch they will definitely make you pay. But there are times when you can throw a bad pitch down the heart of the plate and a decent hitter will still swing and miss. The next time that might end up a HR. Nothing feels scripted and you can't lose focus when facing anyone. If you start to take the crappy hitter too lightly they will get a hit off you. I've learned that when I get ahead in the count to really nibble and try to get guys to chase. I've also learned the hard way that I can't give in to good hitters. It's a crucial part of a good slider set if you want to see user issued walks. You can choose to never walk anyone if you just throw meatballs down the heart of the plate when you fall behind but you will get hurt bad if you do it. |

I've won 4 in a row now after beating the Royals 4-2. I guess the cure to my problems was playing crappy teams! I do think I'm getting a bit better but it's hard to tell for sure. |

You might be getting better, but yeah, playing crappy teams helps. Congrats on your win streak! |

I lost to the Royals in my final game 6-2. I misplayed another routine popup with Magglio - annoying! I'm down 3-2 after four innings against Texas. It's so much more fun playing good teams. It's not as fun playing Baltimore or KC - especially three or four straight games. I don't think KC hit a single HR off me. Then Kinsler leads off the game against me with a HR against Coke. I love the pressure of going against good hitters. I thought Scott Sizemore had his first HR to tie the game at 3 but Nelson Cruz robbed me at the wall. I HATE the replay editor still. Once you add a camera you can't switch it. I hope the replay turned out alright. Haven't even had a chance to see the online version of the rob yet. Edited by Rudy, Mar 22 2011, 04:57 PM.
