Rudy BEST IDEA I think the best idea though may be a tweak of a suggestion from another poster. I think a very simple solution that would take almost no work would be to just randomly assign different icons to your receivers after the snap based on awareness. A guy like Peyton Manning or Sam Bradford would always have his icons be the same. The X receiver would always be the X receiver. But maybe a lousy QB would have his icons switched once in awhile. Instead of the X receiver always being X, maybe they become the Y after the snap once in awhile. This would cause you to take longer to read the field sometimes. I think it's a pretty great idea. This should only change for the secondary receivers though. Every QB knows his primary receivers and those icons should stay the same. Nobody wants to throw a quick slant and then throw to the wrong person. That would be a great idea. I just hope the vision cone never appears in a video game again. I hated the cone with a passion the year Madden had it. |

I never liked the cone either NB. I looked stupid on the field and wasn't fun to play with. Some of these other ideas wouldn't really change the way you play so I like those the best. Someone also said that Madden used to have it that if you ran the same coverage too often the higher awareness QB could recognize it. Maybe they could do something with that as well. |

We have to keep in mind that these ideas are obviously easy sounding in implementation, but as seen by the Madden/NCAA teams, easy doesn't mean they'll do it since it's obviously complex to code.
