*My other gameplay problem is that it is just plain hard to throw down field. Your receivers rarely if ever get behind the safeties and the corners cover very tight. Because of this, most of my passes go to slot receivers running underneath routes or the HB/FB/TE on quick passes in the flats. This sucks because I am really not using my #1 receiver much at all. Don't know how to remedy this yet.
Is this just an issue with your slider set or overall in general? I know people criticized the past gen games for having an easy deep ball but I'd rather it be a little too easy than too hard. I don't expect to go deep all the time but every once in awhile you should be able to hit them. Especially if you are one on one with no safety help and have a good matchup.

Rudy-I think the question about the deep ball is a 2 part answer. IMO it's a combo of slider selection AND who is playing on either side. The sliders can override good receivers and qb's though-So, handle with kid gloves when tweaking those things.
Of course, just like in the real game, anytime you throw extra deep, the odds for receptions are more against you. :jedi:
Added note: I believe that when you got the sliders intact or don't mess with them too much, this year player ratings-AI or yours come into affect moreso than other versions of Madden. We are use to not seeing this because of EA making the players out of whack or too even. The threshold slider is also your best friend this year.

I do like a lot of what BH implemented, but I guess I just need a lighter version of his sliders. I don't want to go back to default but I'd go nuts playing with these sliders all the time. any suggestions?
Dawdler-I am pretty happy with what I got in sliders, for the time being. I can post them tonight if you like but I think they are about 90 percent of where I want to be. So, here's what I think-Maybe try out MM's sliders-Then try mine and find a happy medium between the 2. Believe it or not, when I make sliders, lots of times I will go to the OS "gurus" slider board, average out everyone's numbers or look for consistency in their findings and use that for a starting point or use something like the Bill H. slider tweak.
Another route you can go is turn on that My Skill option (I know, it's kinda lame at times) and play at least 7 to 10 games-Look at your numbers and then use those numbers for your custom sliders and you have a set that you made on your own with your own football genetics :y7:
Sounds crazy? It is, but it can work. If you want to try the My Skill route, try to use some even matched teams, landslides in yours and the AI's favor and something a little close. That way you get a good mix.
It is impossible to make a slider set that everyone will be happy with. Such as the BH slider set. I cannot play on fast, also-I use the zoom cam, not the standard. The upclose action is more appealing to me.
On a final note: we got lots of guys here that want the most out of Madden, so between all of us, we'll help get ya' dialed in bro :waytogo:

Ok guys....well after making an attempt to get a slider project going with some cats over at OS (which didn't pan out)...I decided to go it on my own.
I did alot of reading as well as testing, and put all the different slider ideas in a hat,and came out with a pretty good set (imo).
I just played the Titans a short time ago,and lost a heartbreaker 21-14. I may or may not adjust more,I'll probably get another game in to see how I feel, but at this point,to have a decent slider set BEFORE December is a blessing..

I'll go ahead and post up what I've been using, feel free to let me know how they turned out,or if there not you cup of tea. I will let you guys know....against the better teams in the league you MAY have problems, but this is what I was going for.

Here we go....
12 min, 20 sec runoff on slow gamespeed
Speed Threshold-65

Pass....h/c
15/10
55/10
50/80

Rush...45/65
25/100
50/45

Pass def.....15/15
5/13
95/50

Rush def......10/50
15/55
5/40

I also put fatigue and injury up to 58 for both. On long drives Parker will get subbed,as will certain receivers.
I'm going to play another game, and will post stats.
It's going to be against the Vikings, since they have a good defense,as well as Peterson,so it should be interesting

I'll return with the stats in a short time.
I''l give these sliders a go later-Always like to try out what you got going MM, thanks :waytogo:
