Interesting Jim. I was definitely going to play on a faster speed setting anyway. I'm going to check out Bill's thoughts.

He's got some nice looking numbers for slider tweaks-My beta sliders are pretty close to this. ....The thing about playing on very fast has me slightly apprehensive though. I will try this but don't want the players running around like little piss ants going to s**t :dontknow:

I played with these sliders last night and the speed really wasn't too bad. That said, I don't see why these same sliders wouldn't be just as good on lower speeds. His point was that you have to play on the highest speed in order to replicate the actual speed of NFL players.

What was really cool was that things happened out of nowhere that happen in real games. I played Detroit with my Rams. Detroit definitely was able to get a running game going with these sliders. I was able to slow them down a bit as the first half was winding down when all of the sudden - bam! - their HB broke one for a 67 yard TD with under 2 minutes to play in the half. It was awesome. Steven Jackson was averaging about 5 yards a carry for most of the first half and then Detroit started shutting him down.

The game started out with me driving right down the field on the Lions pretty easily, but then Bulger threw a pick at their 12 yard line. I forced the Lions to punt, got the ball back and drove down for a TD. I was thinking that this may be too easy on offense. Well, they shut me down the rest of the half, until I was able to put together a last minute FG drive to close out the half to make it a 14-10 game.

On the Lions first drive I sacked Culpepper with Leonard Little, who used a beautiful outside move on the OT and then went inside on the HB. Awesome. And then that was the only sack I got in the first half. Very nice. I had pressure on Culpepper quite a bit, but couldn't get to him. I did cause a few flutter balls because I got hits on him. Best of all was that both QBs threw some passes that were just way off. Culpepper missed several times trying to lead his receiver over the middle and Bulger tried a corner route and the ball must have been 10 yards out of bounds.

Overall the game just felt right, like real football. I am thinking about starting my franchise over and using these settings. I only played one franchise game anyway and I need to download the updated rosters.

Played a game with those sliders on slow. It seemed fine to me. I don't know though if it's just me-But I like my games to run a little slower than real life. That way, I don't miss a thing!
I changed my acc. clock from 25 to 15 seconds, waaay better now :waytogo: I now have time to do audibles, thus mixing up the AI and bust out a few more yards of paydirt :jason:
Also, I played against the Colts (My fav. experiment team :y7: ) Manning was cool like his real counterpart :waytogo:
If anyone gets some more games in, could you post stats? I will, thanks.
